anyhoos.

I'm not really sure what I'm updating about. I just felt really happy this morning, excited to be alive,
even though Wednesday are my suckiest days ever. But I  am just happy to be here and to be me.

That's basically it. Looking forward to this weekend. Particular Saturday, as the Wildcats face off Purdue Boilermakers (after 4 years I still don't know what that is) trying to go for sixth undefeated win of the season. I'll be there. so excite.

Other than I need to get my life together. Like in general AND what I'm doing after I graduate (oh adulthood), or more so where I'm doing it. (hahahah dirty). I don't know how to decide....

I have seen you since last year!!!!

Sorry I haven't update until now.
New Years Day I was busy at the football game (IN TAMPA FLORIDA!) watching the 'CATS
face off against the Auburn tigers. Sad to say :( 1 million times, that the 'CATS lost another bowl game. but that alright I guess it was our time. Even though it definitely seemed like it, how many opportunities we had to win.

I had a wonderful time on the trip, though. I have stories to tell for the next couple of weeks. I just had a huge blast, I don't remember me laughing so much in a 4 day period since I was probably 13 or something.

I definitely did somethings I have never done before:

• Walked on the most beautiful beach I have seen (Clearwater Beach, omg!)
• Marched barefoot &  on a beach. 
• Saw, Touched a live blowfish. 
• Seen an ocean/ a huge body of water
• "Swam" (ya'll know I can't swim) in Gulf of Mexico 
• Seen real live flamingoes
• Listened to so much smooth jazz, until my ears fell off
• Only ate 5 pieces pizza and got uber-full. 
• Wore a purple poncho
• Watched the Hangover (funny movie)
• Marched in crazy parade with people screaming everywhere
• some other stuff I can't really remember

I really enjoyed myself.

The news broke at about 4:30 PM on my B-day
(That day was so special, I heard that all the baby unicorns learned
to fly that day, and rhinoceroses stopped picking their noses, and that for a maybe a second the world was at peace, but I digress).

My Reaction after the Reaction after Immediate Reaction: OMG!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH, SHIT!!! IT's MY 21s BIRTHDAY!!! THIS IS  SO AWESOME!!!!!

This was a total shock, because we jumped over a 9-4 team (Wisconsin) to go to the Outback Bowl, and the entire time I had be hearing/reading we were going to the Champs Sports Bowl, I mean either was fine with me. But now that we get to go the Outback bowl, I'm so happy we didn't go to the Champs Sports Bowl.
This is gonna be amazing. I'm just excited.  Because:

1. I've never been to Florida,
2. I'm gonna be in some place warm starting out the New Year
3. Free Beach, Plane, Food, Hotel, Money.
4. FOOTBALL!

This should be pretty awesome. This mean I'll be back in E-town around the 28th/29th, which then I'll stay until school starts, so It'll be a good end of winter break.

Did I mention I'm so excited!

I honor of my proximal 21-ness, I decided to watch this film entitled 21.


okay so like the first 30 mins of this movie was really weird. it reminded me too much of college life, like including the math and everything (yeha that was really descriptive). Overall though, this move was pretty kool. I give it a 7/8 outta 10. But then I looked it up on wikipedia (a random habit of mine after watching a new movie) and people totally hated it. It was a good film kept me interesting for about 2 hours, that's pretty hard to do, most of the time.

Also this thanksgiving break, I watched way more sports (there was nothing else on)
like at any sports game, I stopped and watch it for at least a minute.
I watched 2 NU football games (repeats of our wins against Illinois & Wisconsin). Couple of NFL and NBA games. 1 NU women's basketball (did you kno we were 4-0, until that game? also we beat #10 DePaul, when did they get good?). 2 NU Men's basketball (against Norte Dame & Iowa State, both which we won, making us champions in the chicago inviatation challenge thingy, awesome!).

why is this relevant?

Because this is coming from a guy, who has a kid, I distinctly remember this, I believed that all sports were stupid, all you did was kick that ball around back and forth (I think this was because I didn't play any sports). and to imagine myself about 10/11 years later watching basketball and football like all thanksgiving weekend pretty much just weird/impossible.

But I think this entrance into the "sports world", comes from my love of NU football, which all comes from NUMB, interesting how one decision to be in the marching band changed my life completely, although I'm sure any other decision in college would have been just has life changing.

Bowl Bounded 'CATS!

so if ya don't know (which means you musta been living under a rock with Patrick Star <= he's a pink star, craziness!)
'CATS WIN!!!! 33-31 against #16 Wisconsin. The Wildcats have defeated another ranked team.
The 'CATS are now 8-4 and are heading to a good bowl: which means warm.
I'm excited! Bowl Trip should be awesome wherever we're going.
Also the game was the last of the regular season, and what a great finish!
WHEW!

but um other than that, 3 days before thanksgiving break, which means I get to home back to the kank, for a few days at least. get to see my family, and get to eat a whole bunch: this should be pretty fun. I hoping to get relaxed enough to come back a finish these last couple of weeks of the quarter STRONG, then celebrate my 21st BDAY! WHEW!!!!!!!! LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

but um yeah that's about it.

NCE concert went pretty well (Praise God). I definitely enjoyed myself, and the choir know they was getting it.
Thank God I'll be in it next quarter, or I would just be so depressed........well not really, but ya know......

sooo the 'CATS lost to Penn State :-(. I mean everyone kinda expected it, but I was praying for an upset. We were getting there in the first half, then Kafka randomly left the game (apparently from a hamstring injury thingy) and he didnt return to the game, leaving Persa, the second-string quarterback, to try to keep the momentum going. FAIL. but that's alright. We still got another chance for an uspet against Iowa next week, who is currently 9-0, and us beating them would be major awesomeness.

not much else is going on. I'm trying to coordinate/do this NCE publicity, it's like all I've been really thinking about. and I have a midterm on tuesday, that I'm not studying for right now........
but everything's gonna be alright.......

sometimes ya gotta just keep telling yourself that , even if it won't, you gotta believe that, or your gonna be stressed about crazy stuff. there's no need to worry, like seriously things work out. not always like ya think, but they will. yeha i kno right i'm SO FREAKING deep..........

I could tell you about my long ass day today (SURE WHY NOT?!) 

1. wake up at 7:00 (stupid alarm clock)

2. go to work at 8:00

3. stay at work until 10:45, dealing with crazy people

4. go to first class, def don't pay attention. 

5. hungry I go eat lunch

6. go to second class, def don't pay attention, so tired from 1 that I fall asleep in class. 

7. go to dorm take a nap until 3:30 

8. go to NUMB rehearsal 

9. go to work meeting @ 6:30 

10. after quick stop by dorm, go to CVS to buy soap

11. walk to library to do flyers for NCE

12. go to late night 9:15

13. finally return to dorm, where I continue working for NCE, then finally update blog. 

As you can see it was a very busy day, and I am officially tired. so probably after this going to sleep. 

Looking forward to the weekend, as always, 'CATS take on Penn State @ 3:30 (LOVE AFTERNOON GAMES!)

It's also gonna be Halloween, which means partying, and yeha, that's it.

so I should probably be studying for my midterm that's on friday...
but I'm not...I'm writing this post (clearly!)....

but this is around the time of the quarter that I anticipated/dreaded,
business 24/7. Everything is kinda overlapping, and so many things must get done:  classes,
band, work, sleep, organizations, homework, eating. Yes, eating.

but ya know this is the college life, specifically the Northwestern life, we are all running around
doing 50 bijillion different things, mainly because we're CRAZY. I'm taking it all in though,
cuz before ya know it college is over, you got a REAL job, and your life is over, and all you do is reminisce on the days of college life when you had so much freedom (well, sort of).

I'm taking it all in though, esp this season, I love fall,

AND when I think of fall I just feel like automatically relaxed, it's a fresh of breath air  i mean a breath of fresh air, I think that has something do with the leaves blowing in the wind........{blah blah blah, what I love about fall....blah blah blah}.......

this weekend is exciting though, the 'Cats face off the Indiana Hoosiers (what the HELL is a Hoosier?)

how did your weekend go?
well here's the scoop, the short version, cuz I'm trying to go to sleep REALLY soon...

John Legend concert,
was amazing! Dude can actually sing, well I knew that...., it was a really great concert.
It was all worth it in the end, "running" to my dorm in 12 mins (a new record I tell ya),
changing clothes quickly, waiting at the arch for 30 mins for a bus, all worth it.

'CATS WIN! We are now 4-2 as we go face Michigan State this weekend. It's an away game, which means another two weeks without a football game : (. Which I have to admit (and I don't mind doing so) was very fun. I really enjoyed myself, I hadn't laughed so much in a long time. yeha....

It was actually a pretty good weekend...
but when I wake up tomorrow it's gonna be monday (even though it's already Monday).
God knows how much I hate mondays!

Football Game (Kinda excited about this, esp. after coming off the win against Purdon't)

it's against Miami (OH). 11 am kickoff, and I will be wide-awake (or at least mildly) to see the 'Cats lead us to victory.

besides the weekend stuff,
yesterday, I went to HOTR, the black christian group on campus, and I really enjoyed myself. I was very apprehensive (oooo big word) about going cuz  usually it's really long. But as it has seems lately every time I go to church or some religious thing I always feel like everything is directed right at me. Thing last night,  it just really inspired to keep goin and keep pressing through THROUGH God's mercy and love. but yeha..

which reminds me, songs of the day: "I Yield My All to Thee" & "Everybody Praise the Lord" songs by O'landa Draper & Associates , of which I posted videos of in a previous post. Also found out that Draper died in like 1998 from kidney failure, and that's sad. but yeha.....

I guess that's it.....

'CATS WIN!!!

YESSSS!!!!

The 'Cats came down from a surprising and devastating 21-3 score to comeback and beat the Purduedon't Boilermakers 27-21, making it their first Big Ten win of the season. We are now 3-2. Things are looking up. Hopefully we can keep this up next week against Miami (OH), we will. I'm just really exciting we don won the game ya'll.

HAHAHA! Chicago didn't get the 2016 Olympics. Dang Oprah, guess you don't have as much pull as ya thought, right it's because your black.....this means the whole world is racist or something like that...I haven't figured that out exactly...but this video is funny...

My life is turning into a mixture of classes, band, work, and sleep. this equals NOT fun. What's even more terrible is that this is probably not gonna change anytime soon, it's pretty much my whole quarter.
but ya kno what? it's fine. It's my life as a college student.

.....so I guess I should update, I've felt like that for a bijillion days, but you kno sometimes I am over-comed with uber-laziness, also known as procrastination, but whatever........

NU FOOTBALL

we lost (AGAIN) yesterday. We're now 2-2...umm... I'm not sure what's going on, but the 'Cats are disappointing me BIG TIME. They need to get their act together Soon, but of course I still support them whether they win or lose, cuz they're my 'CATS (ahhhhh...).

kool, random thing was Steve Urkel 
(yes, "Did I do that?" Steve Urkel, also known in real life as Jaleel White)  was at the football game, WHY? I have yet to figure that out but I could come up with something....give me a second....okay:

so Mr. White is friends with one of the player's father, they go way back like high school, like they used to pick their noses together and play hopstoch all the time until White landed the Family Matters gig, then they kinda had a falling out, cuz the player's father had no one to pick his nose, and then he almost committed suicide from his devasting booger-filled snout-sniffer, but after Family Matters went off the air, White realized that the father guy  was is only true friend, so to make it up to him he game to the football game to support the Wildcats.

yes that's why he was there....does that sound probable? I think so....

Classes Started Today

 for the president's convocation......well he's gonna be apart of the inauguration concert, I'm so excited for that because I listen to John Legend (I mean he's  totally on my Itunes) , I'm not sure though how good he is live though......I just want him to sing GREEN LIGHT...

also NU is doing Little Shop of Horrors

(which is like one of favorites musicals of all time, after like 5 others ones...but it don't matter). anywayz I'm going to audition for it in Janurary. so EXCITE!

ummm what else can I write about....um.....oh Cats Lost :( (<--- major sad face). but that's okay I'm over it. We're gonna totally come back and beat minnesota this weekend.WHEW! LET's GO 'CATS!

Dorm Life...

is kool, but in actuality it sucks.

so many limitations not enough freedom.

but I'm not complaining I'm so glad to be outta the Kank.

But I wish it wasn't so cold in the E, wait I meant the D, but that wouldn't make sense at all.....nevermind......

anywayz I'm back in the dormitory. My room is larger than last year, probably cuz it's a total different dorm.

It's pretty kool. I'm looking forward to having a great year (a totally getting trashed every weekend..hahahah jk). I only got two year left (YES) so I mi'es well (that's ebonics for might as well) enjoy 'em.

cuz soon I'll be teaching some bad ass kids how figure out x, and quadratic equations and such (idk)......and def won't be as fun as college life..

oh yeha. NU football, we won against Eastern Michgan (barely, 27-24). WTF? what was going on. I'm hoping and praying the 'Cats come back crazy (and I mean CRAZY!) against Syracuse (whose mascot in an Orange or some shit like that..... see...)

(Wtf is this? a basketball...and any orange that has feet is just weird)

But it's an away game so that makes it difficult. We'll see though.....

So band camp is officially over. (finally)

it was a tough week, but I made it through (thank God)...

felt really crappy the first couple of days but later felt okay (probably because I got more sleep).

so tomorrow we (by that I mean NU) play Eastern Michigan (btw last week we beat Townson really, really, REALLY, bad...UNDEFEATED BABY!) anywayz...we should win. but what's really special about this is the band is going to be there (including me). it should be exciting for halftime we're doing a Michael Jackson/Motown show, the songs are pretty awesome. The thing is we'll be doing it with a ton of high school musicians.(interesting right?)....

anywayz I'm excited for NUMB's opening game.

hopefully you will be there (or seee it on TV, BTN I believe)

BB Updation

So Natalie & Lydia on the block. Instead of having the double elimination they had a "special" episode, where POV, eviction, and HOH took place in one episode. Lydia was evicted from the BB House, now joining Jesse in the Jury House. And apparently her and Jesse did something under the sheets that one time (yes). And now she's upset at him because she figured out he was playing her & Natalie.

I'm not sure who got the HOH, it was an endurance (let's see). I'm personally rooting for Kevin ( and a little bit Natalie) I think I just like the underdog(s). I mean they don't seem to have a chance but somehow they win. But that's not gonna happen cuz apparently Jeff got HOH. So he might put up Kevin and Natalie, or maybe Natalie & Russell (cuz Kevin told a lie about him) well see should be a juicy week.

Cats Football Camp

Let me just say if for the 100th time. I'm am so excited for some Wildcat football. 16 days till the season opener against Towson (which I plan to play in the band at, we'll see). Today on the Big Ten Network, they had a preview of the wildcat football at Kenosha, WI where they have camp. Looks like our defense should be solid. And we have some good offense players. Not really sure who's gonna be the main RB or WB, will definitely be an interesting season. I'm ready.

BB Updation

Craziness! Okay so Michelle is HOH, and just like I thought no one knew what she was going to do (so predictable). anywayz Jesse was evicted this week. so his three chicas: Natalie, Chima, Lydia, had like this mourning, cry-fest, for him like he had died or something (it seemed to be led by Lydia with her Jesse-infatuated self).

Anywayz Michelle nominated Chima & Natalie, she's really looking for Chima to go home. Which may have already happened, because at the end of today's episode they revealed that someone "self-destructs" and is removed from the house. Mike Vick

so watched his interview on 60 minutes (it comes on right before BB). I personally feel sorry for the dude. I feel like what he did to the dogs was terrible (although my first thought really is..."it's just some damn dogs"..but then again never had a dog as a pet) but he shouldn't have gotten two years for it.

His story reminded me of Job, I guess, except I'm not sure if he was a righteous man, but from the interview he pretty much said he wasn't. But it reminds me of that because he lost his job and all the money, had to file bankruptcy, was in prison for 2 years...i mean crazy, like going from the top to bottom.

But he said he's sorry, and Like I said with Chris Brown thing, if you got forgiveness with God, forget what those other people saying, cuz they don't really care about him anywayz. I'm sure everything'll work out for him though.
