I got a place to live!!!

It's all coming together!
Yeah.
I'll be staying in Evanston, which is funny cause at first I didn't really want to.
And I'm also paying more than I wanted, but it's all good gee.
And I'm not moving in  until Aug 15, which is later than I wanted.
So basically I kinda got a place that I wasn't looking for.
My place is gonna be dope, hopefully.

I just don't have anything, well I have a bed, tv, and a dresser. But I don't have any furniture or anything really for my apartment. But to say the most I'm pretty excited, and ready to get outta this place.....like you don't even know........

I think about that place everyday, how it'll be my place, I know I can go to it and not be bothered with anyone. I'm just excited for the most part.......

this summer I'm weirdly becoming a 'reading machine', at least when it comes to books. I've read a second book and now on my third.
I think I just need to find stuff that interest me. Novels do not. that's for sure. haha, more realistic, life applicable stuff works for me I think.
My second book is called Zero: The Biography of a Dangerous Idea by Charles Seife.

It basically chronicles the history of the idea of zero (or the idea of void, nothingness) which also brings about the idea of infinity. But this books gave a pretty good history of not only the number zero, but also mathematics, which I think is really interesting for me going to be a teacher, because I didn't know this stuff at first. now I can share random tidbits with my students such as Pythagoras was part of a secret society of mathematicians/philosophers who totally killed a guy for talking about irrational numbers....or that Indians started Algebra, but it really didn't catch on until the Muslims took over the Western world..

This books is also interesting because it connects the idea of math, philosophy, and religion, which some people may see as separate things nowadays. I think this book just showed me that people were really invested in math, because it was closely connected to their beliefs of life, and that really why the stuff we study has stuck around for so long. Not so much that it's all actually true. I mean people had arguments over math.

Anyway I loved reading the book, it just showed me math is rooted in humanity and its not just this abstract stuff that came outta no where, which I guess is the point I would also like to demonstrate to my students as a result from reading this book.

also Big Brother 13 started a week ago. This cast has 3 black people, one which got voted off today. yeah.
Started with 8 newbies, and 6 veteran returning to the house and tons of twists. I'm def not going to be updating here or anywhere about the show. Not as invested as I used to be, but I'll be watching.....

Wavin Flag

So I had to play my trumpet this summer,
I played the FIFA Official Song Wavin Flag by K'naan  (how do you say that?).
I played the song for Breakthrough Olympics.



But anywayz this song is my jam now, mainly because I had to listen to it 40 bijillion time to make sure I had the notes and rhythm down.

Speaking of soccer, Spain won (I really didn't care either way) but I was kinda rooting for Netherlands because of Susanne (friend from Holland). I can't believe I watched that whole game, not one whole goal until like 5 mins before they were going to have to penalty kicks. What a slow game. I'm glad for Spain though, good for them.

Big Brother is back!!! Season 12!

I'm seriously considering trying out for this show after I graduate college. It would be kool.
This season there's one though black girl, but she's mixed, and basically has the same skin tone as some of the white people, Diversity big brother! There is a jew though. The big twist this season though is the saboteur, someone is giving up their chance to win half a million dollars to sabotage the houseguests. I think they have to last until the fifth week. I don't know who it is yet well find out on Thursday. The show comes on Sundays, Wednesday, Thursday, I definitely won't be watching it Wednesday, maybe sometimes Thursday so we'll see how this goes this summer.

Ramblings about Various Things

Sleeping In

(Baby Koala Bear Sleeping) 
Sleeping in Today was Amazing, it was the first day since I got in Colorado that I wasn't up before 8 AM.
I woke up at 10 today, and then just laid in the bed for 2 hours: AMAZING!
Hopefully all my weekends won't be like that, but this weekend definitely I just needed to chill.

Soccer
I watched the soccer game today (the second time in my life I've actually watched one, first one was USA vs UK). Unfortunately we lost, to Ghana. It would've been kool to see them continue. What I find amazing is how things look when the do replays, they like slow it down and zoom in, and it's like totally crazy like all the positions their bodies be in. Soccer is definitely no joke, physically. But this is:

Weather
It's been kool being out in here in Colorado. Today was the first time it rained since I've been here. All the others day were HOT and sunny. But it's actually really really beautiful, esp. the campus the school is on. SO pretty. I hope it stays that way, although I do need a little rain every now and then in my life.


Persons Unknown

But um, oh, I wanted to talk about this new show called Persons Unknown, airs on NBC on Mondays. It's about this seven people who get like kidnapped and sent to this ghost town. they basically are trying to escape, but they have no idea why they are there, who it is that's watching them (there's camera's everywhere). And they tried to escape many times, but they were all unsuccessful. I like the story, but not so much the acting, especially the main character lady, SO BAD.

Also another problem in like the first two episodes (there's only 3 so far), the main male is white (no surprise) but he was like seen as the leader, he was doing everything to help them escape, and the black guy (who is a soldier) was kinda like his 'slave', from my point-of-view, cuz he was like yes sir I can do that (no exactly, but you'll have to watch it to get what I'm talking bout), but I figured that was coming from him the army thing, which in a way slavery sorta. Also the black guy is Muslim, which I thought that was interesting. There's also this blonde chick, who I think was like drunk when she got kidnapped, which was kinda funny.Then there's This CRAZY lady, she was like in the psychiatric place, the rich guy, and the sketchy-looking guy. But um I'll be watching this hopefully every week. or at least catching up on the weekends.

Big Brother
Speaking of shows, Big Brother (I can't believe all last summer, I updated about that) is coming back on july 8th, don't think I'll be able to keep up with the episodes during the week, hopefully I'll be able to watch it on the weekends. There's no info on the houseguests or the house yet, there will definitely be something by next week.

Super! BB Updation

Last week : Okay so last week Jeff was HOH, he put up Kevin and Natalie as pawns, he also won POV, nominated Russell in place of Kevin. Russell went home.

This week: KEVIN became HOH (YES!). Thought he was going to put up Jordan and Michele but he put up Jeff in Jordan's sted. Michele won HOH, so Jordan and Jeff were against each other. And Jeff went home (guess he's not winning it America) .

FINAL FOUR! : Kevin, Natalie, Michele, and Jordan (will a woman win this season?)

Unfortunately Kevin has "blood" on his hands now. so we'll see what happens.....I want Kevin to win, but at this point I don't really care anymore...

Movie Rambling : A.I

I watched this a few days ago. Okay I loved this movie up until about the last 30 minutes, it just got too unrealistic. This was almost going to be on favorite movies list (which is pretty long already)...but it's definitely something I would watch again.

Stars Haley Joel Osment, who plays David, a robot type kid (the first of its kind) who basically wants to become a "real boy" (yes like Pinocchio) to gain his "mother's" affection. Osment acting was amazing for however old he was at the time of filming. Also starred Jude Law, who was basically a human, but still robot, vibrator type thingy, like people were having sex with robots!.

It was funny though, cuz at first I was like "I'm not gonna feel bad for this robot, he's not even human", but that movie had me mad at those people what they did to David. So it was good I enjoyed it.

Jeff won HOH (Kevin came really close this time, I was rooting for him). Jeff put up Russell & Michele. He's secretly trying to get Russell out ( I love backdooring). This should mean that he will go to the end with either one of those two groups (the other Natalie & Kevin). It'll be interesting to see. Jeff is definitely a bold player..

More than half way through, there's only 6 people left: Jeff, Jordan, Kevin, Natalie, Russell, Michele. This means one of these people are gonna win this game & the 500 grand. I didn't think any of these people would win...but hey, if I had to pick someone to win I guess it would be..Jeff, although you never know what gonna happen in the BB house....

Bingo again...

This time in Indiana, went with my mom & 2 of aunts. It was fun. Cuz my mom & her sisters are crazy! I didn't win anything again (but I got really, really close plenty of times). I laughed really hard cuz the guy kept saying "Bonanza" the whole time we was there.(Bonanza is the ending game at this particular bingo hall)..and this other lady was walking around saying something else, (these are the people that work for the bingo, not people playing bingo, they was just selling these other games.). And me and mom just started laughing. I was crying while dabbing numbers..it was crazy...I'm kinda upset though cuz now all my clothes smell like smoke...cuz apparently in Indiana you can smoke indoors.....

BB Updation

So Natalie & Lydia on the block. Instead of having the double elimination they had a "special" episode, where POV, eviction, and HOH took place in one episode. Lydia was evicted from the BB House, now joining Jesse in the Jury House. And apparently her and Jesse did something under the sheets that one time (yes). And now she's upset at him because she figured out he was playing her & Natalie.

I'm not sure who got the HOH, it was an endurance (let's see). I'm personally rooting for Kevin ( and a little bit Natalie) I think I just like the underdog(s). I mean they don't seem to have a chance but somehow they win. But that's not gonna happen cuz apparently Jeff got HOH. So he might put up Kevin and Natalie, or maybe Natalie & Russell (cuz Kevin told a lie about him) well see should be a juicy week.

Cats Football Camp

Let me just say if for the 100th time. I'm am so excited for some Wildcat football. 16 days till the season opener against Towson (which I plan to play in the band at, we'll see). Today on the Big Ten Network, they had a preview of the wildcat football at Kenosha, WI where they have camp. Looks like our defense should be solid. And we have some good offense players. Not really sure who's gonna be the main RB or WB, will definitely be an interesting season. I'm ready.

BB Updation

Okay, craziness! and when I say craziness I MEAN CRAZINESS!! remember when I said someone was going to get "expelled" from the BB house based on "self-destruction"?. Guess who it was? CHIMA (the black girl). The reason for her expulsion was that she threw the microphone pack into the pool, which means she damaged production equipment, which apparently she could not do. And from what they showed on the episode she had been very rebellious to the BB producers the whole time of her stay. Like she was really stupid, she ackin very DIVA like.

As a result of Chima's expulsion, Michelle's reign as HOH was over. So they had an HOH comp instead of a POV comp (See Chima had the oppurtunity to fight back but she didn't). Jordan ended up winning HOH. She put up Lydia & Natalie. Jordan wants Lydia to go and this is why...

Lydia= Craziness! I feel like I've made this comparison before. So Lydia totally just went off (I think she was actually drunk) on Jordan called her a "puppet-ho". And she just went ballistic. It was just really funny.

idk what's gonna happen. But there's still going on with the double-eviction. which means only 5 people will be in the house at the end of Thursday episode. which means the game will be over in about 4 weeks.

Mi hermano (& the whole district #111) started school today. which means I had the whole house to myself: which meant choas ensued. And by that I mean, I just laid in the bed and watched TV all day. It was amazing not having to worry about another person (especially a little brother)!

Craziness! Okay so Michelle is HOH, and just like I thought no one knew what she was going to do (so predictable). anywayz Jesse was evicted this week. so his three chicas: Natalie, Chima, Lydia, had like this mourning, cry-fest, for him like he had died or something (it seemed to be led by Lydia with her Jesse-infatuated self).

Anywayz Michelle nominated Chima & Natalie, she's really looking for Chima to go home. Which may have already happened, because at the end of today's episode they revealed that someone "self-destructs" and is removed from the house. I wouldn't be suprised if it was one of the mourning girls. idk we'll see. ( I could of course just cheat and look it up online, but i like built up suspense).

Should be an interesting week, with the double eviction (maybe not happening now?) and this random person removed from the house. yeap...

Mike Vick

so watched his interview on 60 minutes (it comes on right before BB). I personally feel sorry for the dude. I feel like what he did to the dogs was terrible (although my first thought really is..."it's just some damn dogs"..but then again never had a dog as a pet) but he shouldn't have gotten two years for it.

His story reminded me of Job, I guess, except I'm not sure if he was a righteous man, but from the interview he pretty much said he wasn't. But it reminds me of that because he lost his job and all the money, had to file bankruptcy, was in prison for 2 years...i mean crazy, like going from the top to bottom.

But he said he's sorry, and Like I said with Chris Brown thing, if you got forgiveness with God, forget what those other people saying, cuz they don't really care about him anywayz. I'm sure everything'll work out for him though.

BB Updation

OMG! CRAZINESS! so basically my prediction game true (i'm psychic!). Jeff used the Coup D'ete, and took off Russell & Lydia. And replaced them with Jessie & Natalie. and Jessie was evicted from the Big Brother house (AGAIN!). For the record I don't think Jessie will ever win a game of big brother. He's headed to the Jury House, which will consist of Jessie and the next 6 evicted houseguests.

Michelle won HOH ( I was hoping Jeff or Jordan would win). The thing is I don't really know where Michelle's loyalty is, so it'll be nice to see her do something and to get a feel for where her head is at. I next week should be crazy also because its gonna be a double eviction. omg!.

Using the Coup D'ete has definitely put a target on Jeff's back so he might go home soon, and also Russell. Therefore I think (dare I say) this may be the season were a woman wins BB. I don't know we will see.

I watched this last night. It comes on the Fox Reality Channel (or maybe it's network...idk? anywayz never heard of this channel). It's basically going off of the Housewives series, but it chronicles the lives of stay at home dads. The show is okay...definitely not as dramatic as Real Housewives of Atlanta (or any other one of those) but interesting nonetheless.

One couple on the show is black. And celebrities. You may know them as Vannessa and Ron.

Tempestt Bledsoe & Darryl Bell ( I had to look his name up..oops) . I think they've been together for a while, but they aren't married. Darryl still sounds like Ron, and he's pretty funny in real life. I'll continue to watch it just to see what's going on with them....It's a different show though....yeah...

Kevin won POV, he finally won something, that's good because he was beginning to look like a floater. Russell & Chima are now solidified enemies & they continue to argue. Therefore I really don't like Chima, I don't know she seems so uhhhhhh bad (that's not what i wanna say but yeah). Basically I want Russell not to go home this week, I just like his gameplay, he brings the drama so..Also, I've also come to the conclusion that both Russell & Chima are CRAZY from their constant argument if you don't like someone then don't talk to them what such craziness.

So Kevin won the POV (said that already) and Kevin is best friends with Lyida, so you would think he would use it on his best friend in the house. NO. That made me kinda upset. Because if you really wanna save someone you will. It shouldn't matter who the HOH is because she/he can't put you up. Which is another reason why I don't like Chima, she's CRAZY (wait, said that already)

Okay so the Jackpot type thingy at this particular bingo was up to 7500 dollars. So I thought I would give it a try. There was tons of people there trying to win that money. Unfornately I didn't win anything and really didn't come close in any of the games (= out 30 bucks). After it all I'm just dead exhausted...believe me dabbing numbers for like 3,4 hours is tiring.....

Eviction

Ronnie was evicted! (HAHAHA). And Jeff got the Coupe D'ete (yes.) things seem to be going my way..or more so the way I wanted them to go. Chima won HOH, which is bad for Russell cuz him and Chima got into a big argument (explosive) about he said, she said stuff (so stupid, but great entertainment).

I have to say this must be the season of "let's totally bash people on eviction night". First week I think Chima went at ol' dude. Banana suit guy went at Ronnie & Jessie. And now Ronnie attacked Michele, can't remember the exact quote, but he basically said she was like the worst person he ever met (whoa).


HOH Nominations.

Chima is HOH, and I said that was bad for Russell and it was. She nominated Russell and Lydia (Who's still trying to go after Jessie romantically(??) after he voted to evict her? stupid). But the thing about this if Russell doesn't get off the block, Jeff might use the Coup D'ete to put up Natalie or Jessie (which would be awesome), I think he's gonna use it no matter what (i kno I would).

Oh yeha, Chima revealed some crazy stuff, apparently like 10 years ago, she was raped (yes) by a serial killer. She was totally calm with talking about, which gave me like upmost respect for her. She also described how she fought back, and as a result had to get surgery on her face. so that crazy, but it's good she's getting her story out there.

ummmm let's see what happened. Russell's HOH. oh, Michelle won POV. Kept the nominees the same. Jessie, ol' girl (Natalie), and Chima tried to get Russell to take Ronnie off. But Russell wasn't having it. They tried to work on Michelle too, cuz apparently she's the deciding vote. But that didn't work. so Ronnie & Lydia are still on the chopping block. My guess: Ronnie's going home, will make me kinda happy :-).

Baritone


(basically looked like this, but silver, its so nice)

I played one today. How you ask? Well it has to do with a lot of things. Well actually just one thing. My dad's sister (not my auntie) moved from K3 back to Chicago (apparently she's after some dude that don't want her, but that's Drama I don't really care about). Chica has like 7 kids, maybe more than that. And her oldest son, played the baritone in the band. They moved out already...making a long story...the baritone has to go back to the school...so it's at our house.

Anywayz playing the baritone, made me realized I haven't played my trumpet since I've been home. and makes me think I should before band camp. I though seriously have no inkling to , and I really don't care at this moment.

I think I'm going to play the Baritone again tomorrow. This also reminds me that I never switched over to French Horn like I wanted to Senior Year. But it's over and done and I'm stuck with the Trumpet.

Weeds

So today I was going to cut the grass (right cuz me and my dad have this deal. Like I cut the front yard, and he cuts the back). But there was no gas in lawn mower. so I was like I'm going to take these flowers out the pot in front of our house, cuz they had all died, I was gonna do this anywayz cuz I was already outside.

Now I didn't really wanna go back inside so I decided to take out the weeds arounds the flowers in the ground outside our house (there were like three talls ones). and as I was doing this I realized there were alot weeds around these flowers in the ground, like tons.

As I was pulling all the weeds. I started feeling bad for the poor flowers. Like dude their just trying to grow. But there is so many weeds. and they had no one to save them. Like if I hadn't done that the weeds will still be there.

And I just started thanking God for salvation. Like we have so many weeds (bad things that just hinder us from growing). and God wants to do what I did for those plants. just take them all away. We have so many weeds in our life. I mean there's like evil lurking everywhere. You gotta get rid of them weeds. If you don't you'll be like those weeds in the pots...you'll die.

Thank You God for that revelation.

Didn't see the episode live on Sunday because of church, but saw it later that night. Here's basically what happened:

Russell became HOH (As i said before) by making a promise to Jeff ( because they were the last two people hanging on the thingy, usually what happens) to keep him & Jordan safe, and also to put up Ronnie as one of the nominees.
They also discussed later possibly getting together, which I like, it would be nice to see Jeff come back, and with Russell I think he has a good shot at winning.

But anywayz Russell has proven to be a man of his word, I mean he voted for Casey to stay, & he kept his promise to Jeff (this does not happen often in this game). Russell put up Ronnie & Lydia, totally for Ronnie to go home. I don't think Ronnie will win POV, so hopefully he'll be walking out the door on Thursday, which I will not see cause I'll be in choir rehearsal....but that's all good...

Something feels different about this month, I see, i guess, stuff going differently. It's the 8th month, time for new stuff or something like that.

I can't really believe I have like a month left before going back to the E (it's so cold). Well, actually I can, it just doesn't seem like it's been 6 weeks. It'll be nice to be back, but for now I'm going to enjoy my summer, whatever that means.

BB Updation

Pretty good episode...okay I wanted to do a thing about how I feel about each person & thier stance in the competition, but that's too long...so here's a shortened version of that:

• Ronnie: Officially do not like him. Please send him home next week, he's just so happy he's still here, like he did it....please.....I don't like his attitude, plus he like backstabbed everyone in the house...so he should go...
• Lydia: This (I want to say the b-word) girl is WEIRD. She watches Jessie's while he's sleep. Then she wore this like mustache thingy, I didn't get it. I think the BB house is making her crazy, like coo coo(idk).
• Casey: Had to wear a banana suit this week cuz of the POV competition, pretty funny. He also went home today. Do NOT like that! But he cracked me up at the live eviction. He called out Ronnie & Jessie, too funny! He said Jessie has the IQ of "ironically, a banana". Just shows you teacher get no respect!
  
• Jeff: I'm now putting my money on him to win. He's a person I would like to see win, he would be like the underdog, come back and beat Jessie, Natalie and Ronnie.
  

Also in the episode, the cliques were dissolved, which is going to be really interesting, people really have no ties together, you know they can't really depend on other people. But they also brought in another thing of power: Coup D'etat (think I spelled that right), anywayz in the next 2 week on the day of eviction, they can change the nominees (1 or both), but they have to like keep it a secret till they use it. Also America gets to vote for who gets it. I'm voting for Jeff.

Don't know who won HOH cuz it one of those long endurance ones, but I'm gonna cheat and look it up now. And the winner is: No ONE! Russell & Jeff are battling it out (GO JEFF!)
I'll update about who wins later....

*Update: Russell won! Jeff & him came on an agreement for Jeff & Jordan to be safe. I don't know if Russell will keep it, but he might since, the cliques are finished. This is even a better time to vote for Jeff for the Coup d'etat....*

I am officially a fan of this show now. It's so crazy! NeNe is a mess, Sheree is a mess. They all a mess! It's such hilarious-ness. Today, the new season premiered. And thanks to Comcast Digital Cable, we have Bravo so I can watch it!....ha...

Random Updations (whew)

So Monday, was Big Ten's Media Day, where each football coach talked and answer question. sounds pretty crazy. well not really. I never saw Fitz speak, but luckily LTP posted the video of Fitz. here it is (on LTP, = Lake the Posts btw). Couldn't get the vid to load (slow wireless connection). check it out though.

Can I just say I love Coach Fitz (of course I can). And for the umptenth time I am so excited about football. It'll be nice to who's gonna be on offense. I think our defense should be solid. So hopefully we'll have some people who will score points. I'm sure we will.

speaking of NU, i'm on a NU calendar for the month of January (just call me Mr. January <---so lame!) for NCE at MLK day thing....still can't believe I'm in it. I mean like I do with any calendar I just flipping through it, looking at the pictures and I see myself, and I just like OMG!. For one, I didn't know people were taking pictures of me, but I knew they were taking pictures, of course. And that means that someone thought that photo was good enough to be on a calendar. Idk, just makes me even more happier to be at NU, even if I'm just on a calendar.

so Jessie is HOH. um Michele won POV, took herself off, and now Jordan and Casey (offbeat clique, who's a 5th grade teacher). I don't like this, like Jessie had no real reason to put him up, like dude's not coming after him. I just think Jessie's really scared cuz Casey has come really close to winning some competitions. Hopefully, people will not vote Casey off, I like him, I think he's kool, although I must admit Jordan's ditzyness is quite hilarious and entertaining. but whatev, it doesn't really matter.

it's pretty shocking that Ronnie has not been put up. This might've been a mistake on Jessie's Part...idk we'll (me & my other personalities) see.

Overall, I'm good. Summer's not eventful, but I'm so enjoying it because before I know it, I'm gonna be so busy, it'll be pretty difficult to find time to chill, and I'm not going to like that. So, I will enjoy my break while it lasts.

BB Updation

I think I'm officially obsessed with this show. Wouldn't you say? but ummm yeha. So Laura went home. Expecting Ronnie to go home this week. He was not nominated, but that doesn't mean he won't be backdoored. The people up for elimination is Jordan (popular) & Michelle (brains).

I realized while watching this show, that I actually would never wanna go on this show. I think it would be kool to go through the experience for a couple of weeks, but you know no amount of money would make me go through that stuff for like 3 months...it's just foolish-ness...I mean you're not going make me eat slop for nothin....I mean I'm not that money-hungry....but who knows maybe....probably not.....

oh there was this weird thing on the show today. Two girls were "fighting" over Jessie...??? why??? I just think I really don't like this guy, even though he might be really kool person, he was such a jerk on last season, that that's (???) all I think about when I see him/talk about him. Funny thing is I don't even remember exactly what he did last season.....

BB Updation

so ol girl, umm Laura , from the Popular clique went home. Ironically I thought she would be the most likely to win (see how wrong I was), but this was before the first episode. cuuz there was vids of all the cast online, and I watched them. She just seemed the most determined, and was like she came to win soo I thought she would. But she went home mainly becasue she ran her mouth too much, she was talking smack about the HOH, Ronnie, not such a good thing. So she went home, NOT Russell. I think that may come to bite back Ronnie in the butt, actually I think he might be going home next week but who knows, crazy big brother.

Yeha, he might not go home, because Jessie is HOH (again, ughhhh)..and they're supposed to be in a alliance, but who knows well see. Most def on Tuesday.

VBS Updation

Last day was on Friday, it was an okay program, not as many children came back that was there doing the week. That seems to happen every year, but what can you do?. ummmm it was good though. I'm definitely glad it's over, cuz it was kinda stressful, but not THAT stressful. It was also TIRING. but now I don't have nothing (ooo double negative) to do per say...but I'll figure that out. I'm thinking about joining the choir thing for a musical at my church, but I don't know if I want to...we'll see....but for VBS that's it....

Eagle Eye

Saw this movie today, one word: CRAZINESS!!. Omg! This movie was ridiculous in the beginning, got kinda boring, predictable towards the end. I won't reveal to much of it. but Shia LaBaeof and this other lady (Michelle Monaghan...???) are seen as terrortists, and are basically running for their lives. Basically it's a set up. But by who? Pretty good movie, got and kept my attention.

Black In America: Part 2.

Watched the first part of this. and I guess it was better than the last one, can't remember what "Part 1" was like. But you know there was def a theme this time: Tommorrow Leaders. Basically showed people who are preparing and those becoming those Leaders. There was a small shout-out ,if you will, to NU. One of the people from the show who was of main focus, is (went?) to Kellogg, so that was really kool to see. I think it also gave a more diverse specturm of what it means to be black in America than what I remember from the first one. pretty kool, I guess.

They're supposed to be doing a Latino in America also....interesting.....my question is should they do a White in America? Or do we all already know that story!

NU Football Season

Just wanted to say I am so excited for the upcoming football season at NU! (for the 70th time). triggered by a football game. the Big Ten Network showed the game '08 against Illinois (our rivarly, and interestingly the nearest Big Ten School to my house). We won this game. and It just got me so excited to watch the game and see our football team winning (all that purple), and also to faintly hear the band in the background....it's just way to amazing. I saw a clip of the band once, like 2 second clip of the band, and I went crazy!

VBS Updation

Pretty kool, Still really enjoying teaching the kids, some crazy stuff going with some VBS staff (heard from director's mouth herself: people showing up late, blah blah), but it's all good. It'll all be done in 2 days. Today's lesson was about Peter denying Christ (well the whole week has been about Peter and his relationship with Jesus) and basically I'm like what was wrong with this people, jokingly.

Like Jesus was like to Peter you're going to denying me 3 times before the rooster crows, and Peter's like NO, I would never to that (I'm sure he was very serious). But he sure did deny him three times. But I mean how are you supposed to respond about that to Jesus, "Yeha, you know what Jesus, I am". But anywayz basically the lesson was about forgivness, even though Peter denied him 3 times, Jesus still forgave him. Amazing. So forgiving.

But yeha that was today's lesson. I remember Tyler Perry talked about forgivness on one his plays, that's a heavy and really serious topic that people don't really recognize. People be carry around stuff against people that they should just let go, it ain't no good for you to walk around with that stuff. Forgive and let it go. Cause it ain't doing nobody no good.

And I think that's becoming more apparent for me being a teacher, you gotta realize that people are human, they make mistakes, that's the whole point of forgivness, ain't nobody gonna be perfect, we try, but we not. So why hold on to this stuff, that's pretty much gon happen anywayz, I mean if ain't one thing then it's another. but yeha....

this was the first thing I watched today, there was nothin on tv. Anywayz, so remember how I was saying Ronnie was thinking about backdooring Russell? He didn't do it (SUCKA!). I mean I kinda didn't want him to do it cuz I felt like people were ganging upon Russell and they wanted him to go for personal reasons (stupid), like he cussed Lydia out or something. And Lydia started like crying and was like "no one should be talked to like that". I think she had to be faking, you can't be expecting people to meet 12 strangers, and not expect to cussed out at some point, i mean yeha. so she wanted him out, and I'm like really?.

But anywayz Ronnie put up,Jordan (the ditzy blonde, like really she didn't/doesn't know what people mean when they say "it's a quarter till", basically she didn't know what a "quarter" is in clock time) so now it's Jordan up against Laura, both of the Popular clique. Really don't care who goes home, but of course, I'll be watching on Thursday, no Friday, I guess.

Would've update about this on Sunday but i didn't feel like it. anywayz Ronnie is HOH, he put up Laura & Jeff (who's from the Chi)...His plan is to back door Ronnie, an Athlete, so maybe that'll happen. I could be down with that. This seems to happen every season. If you come out too strong, or that you're a really good competetitor, i mean people try to get the greatest threat out. So Ronnie is defintely being smart. Well see what happens Tuesday, but I probably won't see the actually episode until Wed (and therefore won't update til then) because I'm doing VBS this week.

VBS Update

VBS started today, got 4 mo days left. Okay, so I told you I was an asst. teacher for primaries (6-8 yrs old). Turns out today the guy who was supposed to teach the class said he couldn't make it (I kinda had the gut feeling this would happen) but um I would have to teach, which was no problem (suprsingly) except I didn't have any teaching material whatsoever, because I was only had assiting materials. So I started teaching for 5 mins, I had no idea what to do. but my mom made the executive decision to combine the two primary class, which ironically is what was planned at first, but anywayz it was pretty funny & fun.

Cuz my auntie was teaching the other class, and she's like crazy. I really enjoyed myself. She's an actual teacher so it was kool to see what she did. Like we had got done with the story, and she was asking questions, but only one kid was answering, so she was like he's going to candy tommorrow. just basically to encourage the other students to answer questions. just glad everything worked out though. Should be an interesting week.

oh a funny thing happen, we were talkin about sin, like you shouldn't do wrong stuff. and my auntie was like you shouldn't lie or whatev (yeha blame it on the memory). and this boy named Charles, who could not stop talking the whole time, said (paraphased of course) "people were lying on me saying I hit a girl, but didn't nobody believe me, but I did choke that boy" , funniest thing ever.

Chris Brown is Sorry

He posted a youtube video in which he's apolgizing for the thing with Rihanna. I'm glad he made the video, so it would be official, I feel it wasn't necessary (at least for me). As long as he got forgiveness from God & Rihanna its all good. That's all that I hope is that he apolgized to her. It's all good though cuz I'm not mad it, never was I, people make mistakes, we're all human, yes even Chris Brown. Even if you know something is terribly wrong, that doesn't mean you won't do it. But its good. He did it, and he's apolgizing. Good.
