Yeah, it's May.

Wow. It just kinda hit me while I was typing this. Pretty soon I will have only 30 days left in my college experience. Wow, I can't believe it.

So much is going to happen in that time........ But classes will be over then. so I'll be considerably happy. I don't want to talk about school or I'll get depressed, angry, stressed or crazy
So I'm just gonna talk about some random stuff. Enjoys.

1. I'm enjoy myself, chillin for the most part. Procrastinating is what some folks would call it. But it is, what it is. And if that's what it is than that's what it is.......idk.

2. Basically, I miss teaching. I realized this on Tuesday. P360 had a student visit, its was kids from Waukegan. And I had like a group of 9 students, and we just showed them around the campus, had lunch with them and stuff. It was really fun, the kids were awesome. And I really got them excited about college, so I hope that their visit really got them thinking about college. And basically I just realized how much I missed teaching, that's the reason I want to be a teacher to inspire the students, make them know they can do anything they want to. so basically I'm excited about the upcoming school year. so glad I gots employment. :-)

3. I need to find a place to live though. I definitely want to stay in Evanston/Chicago for the summer, because Kankakee might get on my nerves considerably. but I need to figure that out soon......urgh.

4. TUMBLR is awesome. I'm pretty much addicted. Past addiction to say the least. It's basically my new facebook. It's awesome, I get to track post on bacon, education, math, technology, and trumpet. 5. Oh, Bin Laden is dead. Kool, thanks Obama and all the troops. I'm still afraid about any retaliation efforts from his people's, I'm praying that nothing bad happens though. But I think it's really good that people who lost loved ones from 9/11 now feel some sense justice has been served. That's good.

6. Just finished watching Black Dynamite.

 I loved it. Stars Michael Jai White, guy who played Tasha's husband on TP's Why did I get married?. Pretty funny, and just generally interesting, makes fun/pays homage to blaxploitation films of the 70s. I loved it (Did I say that already?). I basically thought this story was gonna end like 3 times before it actually did, it's just pretty ridiculous. But that's why I loved it. So if you haven't seen it. Watch it.

It's almost the end of the 2010

which means my blog-versary has either passed or is approaching.
(after getting over my initial laziness and looking it up, it's December 17th,  sooo I'll be posting something on that day probably)
either way I can't believe I stayed with this thing this long,
If I believe this is gonna be year 3. Wow.

Like so much has changed since I was a sophomore,
I was at a totally different place, totally different frame of mind.
It also makes me feel so old. I mean I have been 22 for 8 days,
I don't know if that means I have experience or anything (it doesn't).

But this blog meant something totally different to me then, than it does now. 
And I don't update as often as I used to,
I mean who has time when your as busy as I,
But when I started, it was just something to do, something to be random with, to have fun with,
and just try to be kool, i guess?
But now I use it more of as a place of reflection. It's where/when I can think about significant moments in my life, and it's really kool...i guess?

As i develop into this full adulthood mode, I'll try to keep this up.
Maybe, I'm not keeping any promises...

so it's been a month....

since I update last. Exactly a month, btw. 
And to say the least, i've been busy. with school work, classes , my practicum at ETHS, NCE, NUMB, work, and just general resting hanging time, this blog was definitely pushed to back of thing on my list of to do.

not to mention my laptop charger almost caught on fire, like seriously dude i was scared I was gonna burn the dorm down. anyhoo I was too lazy/cheap to buy a new one, until I got one for like 4 bucks (7 total) off that good Amazon dot com. so let's just say we back in business, for a least some time.

it's also sad to think that my last Fall quarter at Northwestern is coming to an end. by all means, I'm excited, but parting is such sweet sorrow (SHAKESPEARE!) but I realized it's also a great jubilee. Like from this quarter I've realized one thing: College is stupid. Like I hate it. I hate having to worry about these stupid assignments, when in real life I won't have to write paper or anything. I'll have to write lessons, which I also hate.....uhhhh i don't know anymore.....

I  mean, I just want to figure out what I'm doing with my life, and by that where I'm going to teach when I graduate, when I figure out that I'll be so much happier about life, and it'll give me a goal. Because without goals, life is like a box of chocolates like drifting on the ocean on a piece of ice, eventually that ice will melt and you will sink and die because you can swim. so yeah.

In other news. I'm getting old, Officially. On monday I'll be 22, which makes feel real old, I don't know why. I guess this is point where I become an adult. and I guess it's kinda is true. I mean I'm bout to start real life. I got my license, I got a car! (yeah that's news I got a car over thanksgiving break. 2001 Honda Civic, Green, Two Door. Amazing.) I mean I don't want to grow up, but I think it'll be kinda fun/interesting to be completely independent and stuff.

I don't know what else to talk about.

Band Banquet this Saturday, I get to say goodbye to a great (but crazy) organization. I'm really happy to be done with Band, specifically this quarter it was just another thing on my long list of craptastic-ness. I'm just glad I did it all four years. Even through all the struggles, and the times I didn't want to be there, I really enjoyed being apart of NUMB. I'll miss it. But at least after the Bowl game, I won't have to wear that uniform ever, ever again.

Also, something I learned in the past month:  Teaching is mad hard yo. Like for reals,  I seriously I think it's one of the hardest profession in the world. There's so much to go into to teach high school students, to motivate them. I think besides teaching students math, I really just want to inspire, and just make learning/thinking something kool to do. But hopefully I can do a whole nother post, sometime in the future, more dedicated to my thoughts teaching, because seriously it's gonna become my life real soon. And the world should know how I feel.

um that's really all I have to say now. I might do a youtube mania or something random. Idk depends on how I feel.

Sometimes I like mustard on my sandwiches

sometimes I don't.

Why, you ask?
Well the thing about mustard is  insert[a long story about how this one time when I was a kid I had this really terrible, embarrassing situation with mustard, which made me very fearful of it. Like seriously I can't talk about it on here. It was so bad, I mean, I couldn't even stand the smell of it. Until one day  I accidentally had a sandwich with mustard on it and it was so delicious. Then I started eating it again. But then from time to time I think about that horrible experience, so then I totally don't want mustard on my sandwich, but then  I remember how good it is so then I do. A Paradoxical lifestyle. But then turns out it was all a dream, and  the story I just typed was completely falsified :-) ].

so. it's tweleve thirty a.m. I'm kinda tired, but not wanting to go to sleep I decided to update randomly.
I don't really want to talk about anything. (psych, yes I do)
Basically, School sucks. I'm busier than I would like to be. I don't know what I'm doing when I graduate. I don't wanna grow up (I wanna be a Toy 'R us kid). I wish I was a Pokeman. Sometimes dreams do come true. I Can't wait till spring quarter.

Spring Break.

Hey peeps,
I wanted to update about something

but then I started playing Sims...
and time went away really fast.

Spring Break is going well,
I'm pretty much doing nothing..

hey blog world...

i guess I'm kinda back...
but don't really rely on that statement until.........idk Christmas?

I got my laptop back last week Thursday
it turns out my motherboard was all messeded up
so they just replace that. and now it works (THANK GOD!)

I'm just really happy I got it back before my final week of Crap-tackular-ness..
Here's the run down:

• 10-12 page paper due on Tuesday 16th
• 3-5 page paper due on Wednesday 17th (no bad right?, but it like over a movie so I have to watch the movie...)
• Final Project due on the Thursday 18th  (w/ like a Listening Journal)
• Math Final on Friday 19th

and even before this I still have a project and quiz this thursday and tons of other stuff I would like to do; but that  I might not get to do...which is kool...cuz such is life. i guess.

other than school, 

NCE concert was yesterday! 

it was so awesome! I had such a good time! 

I love NCE so happy to be apart of such a legacy...

and I'm excited to see what gon happen next year..

Donald Lawrence was amazing also! 

it was just a good night overall. 

I'm kinda glad it's over though, 

I won't have to worry about that publicity stuff no mo' (no mo', no mo')

but once I make it through finals week,

I'm heading back to the Kank, 

chillin in my bed, watching tv, eating corn chips, staring at the wall, pickin my nose, cleaning out my belly buttons. and possibly just possibly actual breathe...

-I feel back, I feel like last week I was kinda outta it, but now I feel back.

- I finally, Finally, got to the white post-it notes in my post-it notes stack!!!! OMG!

- Dreamgirls, the Musical, is coming to Chicago, and I'm going to see it tomorrow. so excited. I love the movie even after watching it everyday for a whole week when it came out on DVD. Ever since I saw it  wanted to see it on stage. Ah. Unfortnately Jennifer Hudson nor Beyonce will probably be in it, but hey.

- NU Basketball. On Past Saturday we won against #6 Purdue, Awesome Game! Unfortunately we just lost against #21 Ohio State. The 'CATS are now 13-5 total and 2-4 in the Big Ten. Will we make the Tourney this year? Only God knows. 


-MLK Day. Was good, it basically took up my whole day. NCE sung for the morning service, with Ramsey Lewis,who was pretty awesome at the piano (although he talked a little too much). Then I went and saw a staged reading of Palmer Park, a really interesting play about interaction of white and black families in Detroit, even though not the full play, it was just as powerful. Then after a quick bite to eat and nap,I attended the Candlelight Vigil. 
It's kinda of Sad that most students don't really participate in the events, but I doubt I would've participate much if I wasn't in the choir. soooo I totally understand.


-Little Shop of Horrors. Did not tryout. I know, right. 
I'm gonna be so mad at myself in 2 weeks or maybe not. It's alright I definitely have to check the musical out, or I'll be really sad. yeha.....


so that's my life, things are going  towards the line of hectic(ness) really soon, but you know I'll be alright, I did it for 2 years. Bring it Junior Year.....

Updation about stuff and OTHER stuff..

sorry, I've kinda been negelecting my blog........
just haven't felt the need to post things as I usually do...
so I don't.......

but updation on me...
I am doing well. 2nd week of class. Went by pretty quick, suprisingly.
Gotta lots of things to do.

I mean... I don't know

Other things that have happened since the last time [something goes here]: 

Haiti. I feel so  sorry for all the devastating thing that have happened. But I'm glad to see that relief is coming their way.

NU B-Ball. 'CATS lost again Wisconsin. It was pretty close game until (there's alway an until) it wasn't. We are 12-4 overall. 1-3 in the Big Ten.

Sickness of the Stomach. Yeha I ate burger called the MAX. hence throw up and stomach pains and aches of the sort. Never do that again.

Looking forward to: 

The Weekend. My friend from Holland (her name is not Susan) has been visiting for the past (2?, not sure how to count this) week(s).  I hope we are doing something BIG and fun, or something..........we'll see.

MLK Day. Get to perform with NCE and Ramsey Lewis (he's no Mavis Staples) but still pretty kool. Should be  a fun day.

On Break Updation

Sorry, I haven't updated in awhile, I was breaking from the blog (but you probably don't care anywayz, neither to I....duh....)

But um break's been pretty good. I put it up there (wherever that is) as one best winter breaks ever. Like I just really enjoyed myself, I feel like I generally just had fun and break'ded. A well need break before heading back the "E" and the world of academia.

More fun to come though with the upcoming bowl trip (AHHH!). I Leave for E-town on the 28th, then heading down to Tampa with the rest of NUMB on the 29th. Whether we win or lose, I'm fairly certain I'm gonna remember this trip and I'm gonna have a grand ol' time. And since the game is on the 1st day of the new year, it'll be the first time I have NOT been with the familia on New Years Eve, so yeha. It's one for the books(??).

Just excited about the new year in general. 2010. WOW! weird. A decade in the millenium and I'm still here (THANK YA JESUS!!)

Speaking of Jesus, Christmas was kool, I think I'm officially over it (not the whole day that Jesus was born thing) but like presents and stuff, I feel like it's all unecessary. Fun, Food, and Family (the 3 F's) that's all I need for holidays.  I got a new phone and some clothes, which was kool. But I wouldn't've (<--whoa contraction mania!) cared if I didn't get a thing.

I actually have nothing to update about, well I guess I kinda do, yeha I totally lied.....

so yesterday, the juniors of the secondary ed program here @ NU, met with the placement people: the MARY's ( and they looked exactly like this  jk)...They told us about the process of being placed for our student teaching. And as I am about most things, I don't care where I get placed, I just want to be somewhere, teaching.

But basically they were saying it's gonna be a long process. And we have to present a packet, and I have to write an essay about why I want to teach. And I'm not so sure why I do, i mean, I like math, and I think I like teaching (yeah it's gonna be a great essay). It's just letting me know that after graduating I'm going right to work, which is not gonna be fun, at first, but I'll know I'll get used to it....

wow that was a lot yet I still managed not to say much.......

oh, the marching/football season is almost OVER! Yes! (and No!). Truthfully, I'll be really happy when marching band is over, then I'll have time to do stuff. Meaning I'll have time to do absolutely nothing. But then football's gonna be over, which I kinda hate, it's SO bittersweet (which is an actually plant/tree thingy,  I didn't know that till I just googled it). But I'll get over it. It'll be exciting to be a "normal" student come winter quarter.

I think that's enough updating of sorts.......

Eviction

Ronnie was evicted! (HAHAHA). And Jeff got the Coupe D'ete (yes.) things seem to be going my way..or more so the way I wanted them to go. Chima won HOH, which is bad for Russell cuz him and Chima got into a big argument (explosive) about he said, she said stuff (so stupid, but great entertainment).

I have to say this must be the season of "let's totally bash people on eviction night". First week I think Chima went at ol' dude. Banana suit guy went at Ronnie & Jessie. And now Ronnie attacked Michele, can't remember the exact quote, but he basically said she was like the worst person he ever met (whoa).


HOH Nominations.

Chima is HOH, and I said that was bad for Russell and it was. She nominated Russell and Lydia (Who's still trying to go after Jessie romantically(??) after he voted to evict her? stupid). But the thing about this if Russell doesn't get off the block, Jeff might use the Coup D'ete to put up Natalie or Jessie (which would be awesome), I think he's gonna use it no matter what (i kno I would).

Oh yeha, Chima revealed some crazy stuff, apparently like 10 years ago, she was raped (yes) by a serial killer. She was totally calm with talking about, which gave me like upmost respect for her. She also described how she fought back, and as a result had to get surgery on her face. so that crazy, but it's good she's getting her story out there.

BB Updation

ummmm let's see what happened. Russell's HOH. oh, Michelle won POV. Kept the nominees the same. Jessie, ol' girl (Natalie), and Chima tried to get Russell to take Ronnie off. But Russell wasn't having it. They tried to work on Michelle too, cuz apparently she's the deciding vote. But that didn't work. so Ronnie & Lydia are still on the chopping block. My guess: Ronnie's going home, will make me kinda happy :-).

Baritone


(basically looked like this, but silver, its so nice)

I played one today. How you ask? Well it has to do with a lot of things. Well actually just one thing. My dad's sister (not my auntie) moved from K3 back to Chicago (apparently she's after some dude that don't want her, but that's Drama I don't really care about). Chica has like 7 kids, maybe more than that. And her oldest son, played the baritone in the band. They moved out already...making a long story...the baritone has to go back to the school...so it's at our house.

Anywayz playing the baritone, made me realized I haven't played my trumpet since I've been home. and makes me think I should before band camp. I though seriously have no inkling to , and I really don't care at this moment.

I think I'm going to play the Baritone again tomorrow. This also reminds me that I never switched over to French Horn like I wanted to Senior Year. But it's over and done and I'm stuck with the Trumpet.

Weeds

So today I was going to cut the grass (right cuz me and my dad have this deal. Like I cut the front yard, and he cuts the back). But there was no gas in lawn mower. so I was like I'm going to take these flowers out the pot in front of our house, cuz they had all died, I was gonna do this anywayz cuz I was already outside.

Now I didn't really wanna go back inside so I decided to take out the weeds arounds the flowers in the ground outside our house (there were like three talls ones). and as I was doing this I realized there were alot weeds around these flowers in the ground, like tons.

As I was pulling all the weeds. I started feeling bad for the poor flowers. Like dude their just trying to grow. But there is so many weeds. and they had no one to save them. Like if I hadn't done that the weeds will still be there.

And I just started thanking God for salvation. Like we have so many weeds (bad things that just hinder us from growing). and God wants to do what I did for those plants. just take them all away. We have so many weeds in our life. I mean there's like evil lurking everywhere. You gotta get rid of them weeds. If you don't you'll be like those weeds in the pots...you'll die.

Thank You God for that revelation.

This is kool cuz I was totally thinking about this a couple of days ago. Like how hard would it be to have something that'll make you invisible. Like each and every one of your particles will have to be unseen by human eye, would you have to genetically change stuff?...idk how that would work?

VBS Updation

Today was pretty much the last day of VBS, the last day of teaching. Tommorrow, Friday, every class does a presentation, and that's about it. It was pretty good today. I was actually getting really used to it. I can say I really enjoyed myself this week. I was expecting it to be very hard, and just tiring and down right boring. But you know it was good. I just kinda wish we could've got more people to come. But it is what it is. God got it all in control.

Next week, I'm just gonna be so bored, well probably not. I can say it'll probably be uneventful, but you know you never know. If it is you'll know and if it's not you'll know so don't worry about that...

BB UPDATE

So this episode of BB was so much better than the previous 2. People are really starting to play the game, which I still think its too early, unless you're on the chopping block. But hey whatever. I loved this episode because there was drama, that's basically the only reason I watch it. Like people were arguing and its only the first week (CRAZINESS!). Also one dude, I believe his name is Ronnie, almost got caught up in a lie. And that was pretty good. well, he did get caught but the other dude just didn't say it. All this like happened in the last half of the episode (HOW LAME!).

Also, I've come to the conclusion (w/ the help of Wikipedia), that there is 2 (3?!) black people in the house. Chima (1), Kevin (1/2 black and 1/2 japanese), Russell (1/2 black and I guess 1/2 white). If you had up halves and such you get 2, but should each person be counted as black or mixed or whanot?? (idk). But that's kool I guess. But still there's hardly ever any obvious black males on the show. Kool season so far, though.

Big brother first episode

so BB is still my current obsession. But I really didn't enjoy the first episode, I think it's because it just started out. I was just expected something more. I guess, but anywayz one of the people I hated from last season is back on the show: Jessie.

He's this body-builder, conceited person...i hate people like that....he just thinks he's the shit when he ain't shit. like really, and this person is back on the show.....at least he'll bring good drama.... i guess.
But ummm oh the new thing this season is everyone is split into high school cliques: Brains, Athletes, Popular, and Offbeats. What clique do I belong in Brains, Popular, or Offbeat (most def not Athletic)?? idk. I think I'm most def closer to Brains. yeha. oh and if someone in the clique gets HOH (head of household) then everyone in the clique is safe. So that def changes the game.

***updation: Tonight's episode was alot better. Got to know some people a little more. And a little drama ensued. Not much, but you know I'm excited. So yeha we'll see what happens. Two People have been nominated...Tuesday's show is going be about Power of Veto competition. sooo yeha...

Life, has been the same for quite a while. Doesn't look like I'm getting a job. But I think that's okay. I've been kinda doing the same thing e'erday but not really. I don't know. There's not much going's on. But if there was...this "Life update" would be more updational....

Dance your ass off.

So there's this new dance show on the Oxygen network called dance your ass off. Basically it's helping fat (overweight?, obese?) people get into shape, with dancing, AND working out, and changing their eating habits and such.

It sound likes a really good idea. I find it mildly entertaining. It'll be good to see some changes eventually. OH, what I really wanted to say is that they've been having them wear some bogus out-fits, gee and they be thinking they be sexy...but it just be nasty. I mean till you lose some weight I think you should cover that up (but that's just me...)..

The Color Purple- the Musical

Is coming to Chicago from Sept 2 -13. Totally want to go, WAIT I will go (if I say I'm going to do something then I more likely going to do it). Fantasia going to be in it. And I hated myself for not going to see it when it was here before, so it'll be pretty awesome to see. Not realy sure why I updated about this. I think I just wanted to remind myself...whatev....I'm going.

Updations!!

The Williams Sisters,

are once again dominating the tennis world at Wimbledon. Now I don't watch much sports, but for some reason I can watch tennis. weird, cuz I have def have no inkling to play it (that stuff look tiring).

Today was the women's semi-finals: consisted of two games, each with a Williams sister. Serena struggled to win hers, but I it looked like a good, drama-filled game. Venus though easily won hers(against the No.1 person whatever her name was), I was so suprised I was like dang! (that's how suprised I was). Apparently Serena's match took like 3 hours to finish ( one reason why I won't be playing tennis, games too damn long...). But they both won in the semi-finals, and once again they get to play against each other.

Venus has won Wimbeldon the last two years I believe. So that's who I'm thinking is gonna win. But you never know with though Williams Sisters.
I believe the game comes on Saturday...yes Independence Day! ( which was when I realized Great Britain doesn't celebrate the Fourth) the little voice in the back of my heads says: "duh, Idoit! Great Britain wouldn't celebrate the American Independence Day because it's a celebration of America's Independce from Great Britain. That's like saying.....gosh I can't come up with a good analogy....but you get it!"


Also I'm so tired of seeing Michael Jackson's name in the media. The guy has been dead for a week, let him rest. Cause nobody really cares anymore about his death(and by nobody I means Me). Just have the funeral, so people can move on with their lives. It's so annoying!. I kinda wanna make a youtube video about it similiar to the Leave Britney Alone! one. I can just see it now: LEAVE MICHAEL ALONE!!!

(kinda looks like he's saying in the middle of saying 'Alone' as in 'LEAVE ME ALONE!', which would go really nice with my post, but of course we all know he's just screaming...hahaha)

......anywayz....hopefully by next thursday we won't be having this same problem. This crap is ridiculous and blemtious!

I have about 2 months left of summer about.......and I have accomplished nothing. This is about the point in summer where I am so tired of seeing these same people. I guess you could say I miss NU! (my alma mater...."Hail to Alma Mater........) By these same people I mean my family..and by family I mean my immediate family, which makes me wish I was doing something more.....more...what's the word?....idk....just MORE....hahahaha
