Simply Updating

nothing special.

3 years
junior year coming to a close. 3 classes down, 1 more to go and its the 'important' one (i suppose), math,
i actually feel i should actually start studying now, math hasn't been so great this quarter. but we'll see.
i think its gonna be weird though being a senior, I kinda feel like I just got here, well I mean I can remember my first visit to this campus, and all the nervousness & anticipation I felt because I was finally going to college. and i guess it's just now hitting me there's only one year left and like everyone will be looking to me as the example and a leader......yeah, but I'm so GLAD this quarter is almost over, and  I made it through (THANK GOD)...

This summer
Breakthrough in Colorado is official. I booked my flight the other day ($300+, omg!). But I'm excited for this opportunity, and I'm looking for an active and stressful summer, which is totally opposite of every other summer of my life, seriously. Yeah, I'm kinda nervous about finally teaching cuz I don't know what to expect, but I know whether good or bad, it'll be a great experience. And I'll be helping the childrens which is good always.

GFest
Just came from the Gospel Fest 2010. It was kool. I saw 'lil bit of Kathy Taylor. All of Byron Cage and Hezekiah Walker. It was pretty kool. I personally felt though their sets weren't long enough. It just felt like they did five songs and were done, but hey can't really complain it's free, well i suppose it comes from taxes. I'm going again tomorrow, Richard Smallwood & Fred Hammond will be, it should be awesome.

Homesick
Other than that things going pretty well. I really want to go home soon, I haven't seem my family in over 2 months! and I just miss them extremely, even though I guess it doesn't seem like since I never really go home. I guess though I gotta kind of get used to not seeing them, I mean I'll be starting my career pretty soon & there's no telling where I'll be teaching...

speaking of which,
Career Backup Plans
1. my elaborate plan to move to the U.K. for 10yrs gain a British accent, come back to the states open up a bar and D.J.
2. CTA bus/train driver
3. Backup Dancer
4. Run for Vice President w/ Kira (La)Frank for Prez.

most of these r jokes, but I guess I should seriously be thinking about a backup plan just in case teaching doesn't work out (for some strange reason), but I really don't know what else I would do.

okay I'm gonna end here
or I'll continue for ever probably..

Random Videos = Youtube Mania.

A collection of videos, I feel all should watch lest they die of boredom, schoolwork, the sound of flesh-eating bacteria, or any other thing you can die from these days.....

Enjoy!

1. Byron Cage- I Can't Hold it.

This song takes me directly to church.I'm almost tempted to buy it. I love it, but that's no surprise, cuz Byron Cage is one of my favorite gospel artist.

2. Theremin - Clara Rockmore plays the Swan

so in a class I'm taking entitled "Introduction to Music Technology",  we have learn about musical technology type instrument. This is one of them, but the thing is you don't physically touch something to play it.
It's pretty awesome. Chick looks SUPER-intense though.

3. Gnarles Barkley "Crazy" Theremin Jam.

This is so awesome. If you don't know, this is probably one of my favorite songs of all times. I forgot how much I loved this song. Anywayz it pretty kool that you can play like anything on a Theremin.

4. Billy Rivers and Angelic Voice of Faith "Thank God for Saving Me"

This is just a random song from a channel I'm subscribed to. I really like this song,  though. Also takes me to church.

5. American Idol- Larry Platt- Pants of the Ground.

Yeah, so I don't really watch American Idol anymore, but apparently this came on last night (you already know the auditions be bringin some crazy people). I'm mad at how he was dancing. that was just ridiculous.

Music Rambles

I'm a big fan of music: I love to sing, play the trumpet, I'm constantly creating random songs....
FAV music: R&B, Gospel, some Hip-Hop, Pop, rock, up to giving every song a chance.....

So I've been checking this out, if you don't know about this, you should
imeem.com, free playlists of new album, which I like, and other random songs...pretty kool overall for music...

Keyshia Cole, of BET-fame "They Way It Is" (You should check this show out, some real family drama, which is my life) Anywayz she has come out with a new album called "A Different Me".

She's definitely different than the Keyshia Cole of her first two album: not that much passion in the voice for me. The songs, which you can check out at imeem.com, sound too much alike. The only really r&b-sounding track, besides "Playa Cardz Right" ft. Tupac, is a track with fellow r&b songtress Monica, "Trust". Check it out here
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lauryn Hill, one of my favorite Neo-Soul (probably the definition of Neo-Soul) artist ever!. Currently fell back in love with her, thanks to imeem. If you listen to some of her stuff from her Unplugged albums, this woman he's amazing. The messages of her songs are too deep, still can't figure it out. Just amazing. I believe she's working on stuff, hopefully she can get an album out soon..Please!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bryon Cage, a gospel artist, who I think goes uncredited and unrecognized, his songs are
amazi
ng...check him out on imeem as well (I told you that's the stuff)...anywayz very prasing, worship songs. Melodies and Harmonies amazing. Cage is also dramatic sometimes, but it helps create wonderful worship music. Hopefully I'll see him in concert before I die...hahahaha
