sooo...um...randoms..

This weekend was the first time I felt homesick.
More so I miss my family, than being in K3.
Probably because it was 'Da Forth', that's what we I call it.
(btw I hope everyone had a great holiday)
and because my mom's b-day is on Wednesday.

And i realized it's the first time I won't be with my mom for her bday,
but I talked to her so it's okay. and i suppose she had 19 without me. so she'll be okay.
I don't feel as homesick now mainly cuz I talked to my family yesterday.
And plus I have a week of teaching to look forward to, so I think I'm good.

---------------------------------------------------------
Other randoms.

So I had the house to myself, and there's a piano in the house, which means I started playing it.
And along with some sheet music I got from somewhere online, I started to play the first part of "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers

Love this song.
Goal: By the end of the summer, be able to play the whole thing? Maybe. Idk.

----------------------------------------
I also watched a couple of movies.

I finally saw Wanted.

Let's just say I loved this movie. A lot of the scenarios and actiony-thingys that happened where SO unbelievable, like when that car landed on top of the train and then kept going. CRAZY! And pretty much how all the characters survived all those dangerous situations.
I really enjoyed this movie though. It was funny and had tons of actions and good 'ol killin'. Very graphic though. I can mark being a secret spy assassin off my list of career choices, definitely not doing that after seeing this movie, I might end up killing my father. whoops!

I also saw Not Easily Broken.
Movie-not_easily_broken.jpg (500×748)
It was pretty good movie. Kinda got too emotional towards the end , like to much crying. But a very dramatic movie, You can definitely tell it's based off a book. In the end though its a movie about marriage, which doesn't apply to me at this point, but a very good Black movie in my opinion.

---------------------------
Tyler Perry
Not easily broken kinda reminds me a Tyler Perry movie (doesn't every black movie some where involving church make you think of that. Can you say Monopoly anyone?)

Anywayz that reminded me of the Boondocks episode, 'Pause', where they make fun Tyler Perry, portraying him as a person who uses God to have sex with men. And apparently at least some aspect of that is true, because on the rumor circuit mill (See rhymeswithsnitches), Tyler Perry has gotten the episode to stop being shown...yeah. But you should definitely see the episode, if you haven't.

That tis all

Simply Updating

nothing special.

3 years
junior year coming to a close. 3 classes down, 1 more to go and its the 'important' one (i suppose), math,
i actually feel i should actually start studying now, math hasn't been so great this quarter. but we'll see.
i think its gonna be weird though being a senior, I kinda feel like I just got here, well I mean I can remember my first visit to this campus, and all the nervousness & anticipation I felt because I was finally going to college. and i guess it's just now hitting me there's only one year left and like everyone will be looking to me as the example and a leader......yeah, but I'm so GLAD this quarter is almost over, and  I made it through (THANK GOD)...

This summer
Breakthrough in Colorado is official. I booked my flight the other day ($300+, omg!). But I'm excited for this opportunity, and I'm looking for an active and stressful summer, which is totally opposite of every other summer of my life, seriously. Yeah, I'm kinda nervous about finally teaching cuz I don't know what to expect, but I know whether good or bad, it'll be a great experience. And I'll be helping the childrens which is good always.

GFest
Just came from the Gospel Fest 2010. It was kool. I saw 'lil bit of Kathy Taylor. All of Byron Cage and Hezekiah Walker. It was pretty kool. I personally felt though their sets weren't long enough. It just felt like they did five songs and were done, but hey can't really complain it's free, well i suppose it comes from taxes. I'm going again tomorrow, Richard Smallwood & Fred Hammond will be, it should be awesome.

Homesick
Other than that things going pretty well. I really want to go home soon, I haven't seem my family in over 2 months! and I just miss them extremely, even though I guess it doesn't seem like since I never really go home. I guess though I gotta kind of get used to not seeing them, I mean I'll be starting my career pretty soon & there's no telling where I'll be teaching...

speaking of which,
Career Backup Plans
1. my elaborate plan to move to the U.K. for 10yrs gain a British accent, come back to the states open up a bar and D.J.
2. CTA bus/train driver
3. Backup Dancer
4. Run for Vice President w/ Kira (La)Frank for Prez.

most of these r jokes, but I guess I should seriously be thinking about a backup plan just in case teaching doesn't work out (for some strange reason), but I really don't know what else I would do.

okay I'm gonna end here
or I'll continue for ever probably..

Homesick.

I am Homesick. And I don't like it.
Ya kno, you would think I would stop being homesick by my junior year, but no, I'm not.
I think this is pretty usual for me though. Like I haven't my family in such a long time, and I only talk to them occassionally. Yeha I just can't wait till Thanksgiving, I'm definitely looking forward to more than the food this time.

BUT, HOW 'BOUT THEM 'CATS, Y'ALL?!
WON 17-10 to an undefeated #4 IOWA!
Pretty much awesome-ness. Really kinda upset that I did not go, but it's alright.
Still a great win...
We are now 6-4, which means bowl eligibility, we need to win next weekend against Illinois,
which I'll be at with the band. And it'll be my 5th time going to this stadium (whatever it's name is....)
so not that excited about that, AT all.....

Just watched the Terminal,

starring Tom Hanks (his son btw goes to Northwestern now...) as a foreign guy from some country (Krakozhia, fictional place btw), so basically he's just stuck in an airport, literally. I won't give away the movie, but um....
It's was an alright movie. Probably Definitely wouldn't watch it again. Yeap.

so by updating, (and publishing these here words) I am procrastinating, I really need to be working on
my CS class. I'm like so behind in that, but I'm just seriously tired of the thought of classes.....uhhhhhhh

but anywayz.
I'll Holla!
