Utoobs Mayniiahh

'Nother Installation of some videjoes I liked-ed.

1.President Obama on the Death of Osama bin Laden (SPOOF)

This by Alphacat.He's done spoofs as Barack before. Here he's basically doing Obama's speech as a rap. It's pretty dope. But really this actual speech was kinda awesome. Obama's a G. For reals.

2.Dr Looney's Remedy

OMG. I was so excited when I saw this. Brought me right back to childhood. Bad thing is I still really don't know what they are saying, but I love this song. This song was on A Goofy Movie VHS tape (which is one of the best disney movies EVER) and  I remember I always forgot about this song when I went to watch the movie. But thanks to the MAGIC of youtube I can watch this anytime I want. Awesome sauce....

3.The Bacon Song

I mean I could listen to a song of bacon frying. So really it's not surprising, that I would post this here. It's pretty amazing. And if you don't think so, then you have no soul. Yeha, I said it. cuz it's true.

4.Destiny's Child: Behind The Scenes (Spoof)

Any spoof of Beyonce/ Destiny's Childrens is pretty much hilarious. Especially when it's a guys make fun of them....yeah. Watch.

5.President Barack Obama got his Birth Certificate by Kolanda

I luh Kolanda like I love lollipops [i hope you get that]. YEah, this Birth Certificate sit-chi-ation is a mess, and they still not letting up about. smh. They betta listen to Kolanda, she preachin' the trooth.

6.Beyonce and Rihanna *Exclusive Fight*

This video automatically reminded me of  this video, which I posted about here. Hilarious. AfricanoBoi is just a mess....but pretty hilarious....he sounded just like I imagined Rihanna sound-ded, but idk.....I'm not from Barbados..

Aight that's all.
Hope you enjoyeds.

Can we bring back music from the 90s?

So it all kinda started with SWV  last week. I've gone into a 90s R&B music craze. I mean when you compare the music of today to the music then, it's great because people actually used to sing. Music was based on talent. And the songs, had more groove and soul to them.

Wells, I got this bright idea, to just talk about my favorite artists from the 90s, basically whatever I want to say about them. I would've start with SWV, but in my 90s crazed I came across, one of the greatest girls groups of the 90s:
EN VOGUE. so this first post will be about them.

A lil' history
(yes my main source is wikipedia, shoot me)

They were formed through auditions in 1988, which is surprising you would assume they were related,  bestest friends, or somethin like all the other girl groups but they were not. The two guys (Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy) wanted to recreate girl groups from the 50s/60s, originally it was supposed to be a trio, but one of the girls was so great or something [lies, lies, lies].

But really the great thing about this group is that they all can sing lead, which provided for some really great harmonies, melodies in their songs. The original members of the group were Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones, and Dawn Robinson. Basically after one of their biggest song Don't Let Go Dawn left the group for contract issues. That was in 1996, since then they have worked as trio and quartet some time, because Maxine left to focus on her family, but then she came back. The replacement was this lady Rhona Bennett who you might have seen on the Jamie Foxx Show, the one that sang with Jamie and basically almost broke him and fancy up.

Anyhoo, He wasn't until recently that all four the original member were back together 2005, 2008 whichever reunion you want to count as legit. They are currently working on an album to be released this year, but Dawn won't be on it (WTF dawn?).

Youtube Mania: Math Teacher Style

Here's some math videos I showed my students, some of them are pretty awesome, other's are lame, but that's alright with me, it's fun. Enjoy!

1. 25/5= 14

By far one of the funniest math videos ever! Cuz the guy trying to prove what we all know as division, but his mom and dad sound way more convincing with their 25/5=14.

2. Funny math class video

Not sure what movie this clip is from, but it's pretty funny, probably best, most attentive math class ever. I basically told my students to "Don't be that guy! Always do your homework". btw: the teacher is talking about absolutely nothing, just mathematical lingo.

3. Who wants to be a millionaire with Patricia Heaton

Now Patricia totally gives up as soon as she see's it a math problem, and I really can't believe it took her so long to just get to the answer. This is what I'm trying to change about people's attitude toward math. Really it's not that bad.

4.  Blind Date

OMG! probably the second funniest  math videos ever. So many references that I think just flew over all my students head cuz they had no idea about some of the things. So funny though.

5.  Y= MX + B

Possibly the lamest video ever, but you'll definitely be singing the song once you finish or trying to do the 'dance' moves. You really can't forget slope-intercept form with this video.

6.  Slope Intercept Rap

"Do your class work, do your homework!" This is my jam!

That's all. Probably last post from Denver

1. Shawt Bus Shawty.

This is so hilarious. The Gucci Mane drool hilarious. Waka Flocka verse omg. Just Hilarious.

2. Everest College Commercial - Hood Variant

Pretty funny. This seems like something Dave Chappelle would have on his show if it still existed.

3. Up above my head

I really like this video, it so kool. This is like one of my favorite Kirk Franklin songs. So jazzy and this group does a great job.

4. Fantasia- Bittersweet.

Fantasia Back! and this is a pretty good song and video is really nice.It good to something nice and lovely and sk-nanky and nasty.

5. Fast Food Folk Song.

This is so amazing. The guy totally gets everything they say in the sung. I want to do this one day. in my life. but at McDonalds.

That's it.

Tic Tock- Kesha Translation

too funny. this is what you should be thinking when you be listening to songs.

My Chick Bad (glee audition)

I love this! I have probably watched this like 15 16 times by now. and basically have all the lyrics memorized.
My fav: "A good stride in and a  good stride; that what I'm all about I'm the baddest" hahahaha.

All That.

Yes, I'm talking about the All that,

(what is up with this logo, btw, its so weird...
it seriously looks like somebody made this on Microsoft paint just saying)

the show that usta appear on Nickoloden
(you 90's kids know what I'm talking about)

I was simply brought down memory lane (it's a short street, about two blocks, and its rather narrow)
by even the theme song of this iconic television show.

That's by the one and only TLC. (R.I.P. Left Eye)...so so 1990s....it ridic...

You can check some episodes of All that, here, here, here, I don't know how long they will be there, you know Youtube be on straight games...
Episodes includes some of my favorite skits:

RepairMan (man, man, man)
SuperDude (that's where I learned what lactose intolerant meant, which I always thought was lactose and tolerance, anywayz)
Good Burger
Cooking with Randy and Mandy
Everyday French with Pierre Escargot (Question: is he actually reading French?)
Ear Boy (could never forget Pizza Face...)
Loud Librarian
Vital Information (which is really REALLY stupid now)
Lemonade Stand Girl

I just remember All That being the greatest and funniest show ever, and I wished I had understood the jokes more when I was little (I feel like I didn't notice anything when I was little...). but rewatching it, it's actually funny, not like rolling around on the floor laughing, but I definitely see the humor. and At least from what I saw, Kenan Thompson was in a whole lot of skits, I don't know how old he was during the show, but that was talent for him to digg into is funnyness at such young age. quite amazing from my perspective (I guess that why he's on SNL to this very day).

I began to wonder how this show like shaped us as a generation. like in the show, it really hits at some social issues, and general things that anybody would know (look at me getting all teacher-y). Like the cooking with mandy and randy, like the wanted to put cholocate on everything. or skits that came later like Ask Ashley...or something...

Also watching this, I begin to wonder if kids of today's generation be different if All That (or a similar show) still exist. this was just teenaged version of SNL basically. And like what r they missing out on? Who would be the funny kids of today's entertainment world? Idk. Pretty interesting.

But I can say the show was definitely one of a kind. it just brings me back to a world when life was carefree, and troubles were about a big ear of corn...

And that's ALL THAT I wrote/typed.

Random Videos = Youtube Mania.

A collection of videos, I feel all should watch lest they die of boredom, schoolwork, the sound of flesh-eating bacteria, or any other thing you can die from these days.....

Enjoy!

=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=``=`==`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=`=

1. Byron Cage- I Can't Hold it.

This song takes me directly to church.I'm almost tempted to buy it. I love it, but that's no surprise, cuz Byron Cage is one of my favorite gospel artist.

2. Theremin - Clara Rockmore plays the Swan

so in a class I'm taking entitled "Introduction to Music Technology",  we have learn about musical technology type instrument. This is one of them, but the thing is you don't physically touch something to play it.
It's pretty awesome. Chick looks SUPER-intense though.

3. Gnarles Barkley "Crazy" Theremin Jam.

This is so awesome. If you don't know, this is probably one of my favorite songs of all times. I forgot how much I loved this song. Anywayz it pretty kool that you can play like anything on a Theremin.

4. Billy Rivers and Angelic Voice of Faith "Thank God for Saving Me"

This is just a random song from a channel I'm subscribed to. I really like this song,  though. Also takes me to church.

5. American Idol- Larry Platt- Pants of the Ground.

Yeah, so I don't really watch American Idol anymore, but apparently this came on last night (you already know the auditions be bringin some crazy people). I'm mad at how he was dancing. that was just ridiculous.

Youtube Mania: Mixing it up.

Just some favorite I saw over break.

1. Darin Atwater - "He's Got the Whole World in his Hands"

Remember those videos with Soulful Symphony, forgot to post this one last time. Just the choir and piano this time. Beautiful rendition.

2. "Emmanuel" - UAPB Gospel Choir

Although Christmas is over, I loved this version of this song! I had chills, and felt exactly what they felt in that video. Amazing!...

3. Never Steal A Fat Black Kids Ramen Noodles!

Sorry for all the F words (change of pace from the gospel videos, i know). But this was way too hilarious to me! Had to post it. I know how he felt though, dem Ramen Noodles be the shizznit. And I would put it on everything (including my grandma's grave, jk) if someone stole my noodles. hahahahah omg!

4. Weird Water Experiment

Kool, sciency thingy. So what, I'm a dork?!. I got to Northwestern.....

5. The Clark Sisters -"Jesus is a Love Song"

This song is a least in my head once a day....most of the time it's just that long note she holds around 4:45,
Love this song though.

Last post before the New Year,
so enjoy the last days of '09,
and welcome with open arms those of 2010.

GLEE

(hey I know this image is old, but it works and I didn't feel like looking for another one)

is so freaking kool and awesome! Can't wait untill the new episodes. A couple of days ago, I got all caught up with episodes ( being a college student definitely limits my amount of TV watching)

and basically glee, the story lines are kool, and dramatic and stuff with crazy love triangle, squares, but I must admit
I REALLY REALLY like the singing. I mean without the singing the show would just be about a glee club (boring...)....

And the girl that plays the token black person, Mercedes, (Amber Riley) can blow,
like pretty much at the end of the episodes I was just like "This chick is sick!" like she needs to
get her own thing going on so I listen to it, seriously.

And probably if it wasn't for her I probably wouldn't watch the show either, or at least to
me the singing would not be as good. I mean the Jewish girl is pretty good, and the guy in the wheelchair is suprisingly good (sorry can't remember anyone's names), everyone else is mediocre to me.

But yeha a few songs/videos where Amber was killin'

"Lean on Me"

"Bust Your Windows"
(think this is a repost, whatevs)

"Proud Mary"

(FYI: she does do (??) her own thing apparently)

"Sweet Thang"

that's it!

Youtube Mania: THE Gospelized Version.

hey I haven't done this in awhile,
and I've found some interesting Gospel Vids, while having nothing else better to do than
watch youtube videos.........

1.  Jesus Paid It All- Mississippi Mass Choir

I think I posted a link to this song before, but I finally found the video. Made me so happy to "see" this song.
and also this version is longer than what I'm used to hearing. Love it nevertheless!

2. Joy - Kirk Franklin/Georgia Mass Choir

Did you know Kirk Franklin led this song? I sure didn't. I knew he wrote this song though. It's also really nice to "see" this song, cuz I've been hearing this song on radio since I was like 5,6,7,8, gosh one of those numbers.

* The rest of these videos are of a group called Soulful Symphony, directed by Darin Atwater, who worked with Richard Smallwood, so he like integrates gospel with classical. so talented! *

(Also there is a story that goes along with how I found out about this group, but it would be really long,
so I'll just leave it a mystery or something like that)

3. Elijah Rock

MY FAV! I have watched/listened this song probably about 15 times already (I found it yesterday, so in less than 24 hours). This video though likes to stop at the 2:00 mark for some reason makes me upset, cuz this is my Favorite song of theirs.

4. Go, Down Moses

I love the jazzy feel to this it pretty kool. And the build up at the end (which could be better, but never mind)
I love also. These singers are so talented, yeha.

5. Wade in the Water

This chica is bad! Those notes she hits are crazy! In my old black woman voice: "Chile, I tell ya, Ain't nothing like a negro spiritual"

6. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot

I love the vamp on this. Pretty good rendition of the spiritual.

There are more videos of them singing other negro spirituals, even a couple with just the instruments which are also pretty kool. Check 'em out.

yeha..that's it.

Funny-Random-Thingy-of-the-Week-Type-Dealio.

Here's some things I found quite hilarious.
Hope you enjoy 'em too (like a bag of Lays Potato Chips!)

SO APPARENTLY
Martin Lawrence and Jamie Foxx are coming out with a movie
starring Sheneneh (from Martin's hit show Martin) and Foxx's character Wanda from In Living Color.
At the BET awards this summer, the two did a little thingy

watch it.

this is funny. I'm hoping the movie will be hilarious....(be sure to check out some of them related videos on youtube if you haven't heard of these characters before)

btw my favorite Sheneneh catchphrase is "I'm a LAAAY-DAY"........hahahahahah

~~~~~
Sammy Sosa bleaching his Skin?!!!!
WHY?!!! RIDICULOUS! (dude like yo ass look white. seriously....)
like did he not see what happened to michael jackson?.
and then he gon try to lie about it, like about something like that....
 MAYBE you can lie about steroids usage but you can't like about bleaching yo skin
all people gotta do is take a picture of you, dude.....
ridiculous.
~~~~~~~

the Toliet Rap.

"Sittin' on the Toil-let!"
too funny.
short.
period.
point.
blank.
word.
~~~~~~~~
this is slowly turning into a Youtube Mania post...oops....
this is way too hilarious. esp the subtitles. and it sounds like what they say....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
random picture (hopefully it's funny)....

 - Yes Erkel you did

sorry.....hilarious.....i would like to say that I've done this before but unfortunately I don't do CRACK
(like yo mama!)..... Things I find funny about this: helmet, the tongue, white substance on his body, the fact he's rubbing it, the guitar, his scary stare..
that's it....

Youtube Mania

I think I should totally stop watching youtube videos,
but that'll never happen as long as they exist.

But here's some I found rather hilarious/interesting.
Hope you do too!

Yes, Please don't scare black people, cuz they will kill you punch you in the face.

I watched this, and it just made me want to watch this movie. This is one of my favorite Disney movies of
all time, besides all the usual (Lion King..). Oh, the actual person singing is '90s R&B singer, Tevin Campbell.

This was really kool. I think though I would still take the escalators. I mean, I really like escalators. When I get my money, I'm gon have them instead of stairs in my house.

My Friend, Sean, showed me this video. Quite hilarious. btw Loved the random black lady!

aight that's it.

More Gospel Videos....

wanted to post this earlier, but I was "busy working"......
anywayz enjoy and such...

Dr. Mattie Moss Clark - How Majestic Is Thy Name

For some reason I really, really love this video, this song in particular just captured me, and as a result I do what I do with songs that I really really love...look at as many different videos of it as I can.

This one though was really quite funny the more I watched it, all though that was not the point of it. For 1) What is she saying in the beginning? 2) Why do they all look dead tired?. Anyways, I loved the arrangement of this song, and that organ, which is supposedly Twinkie Clark, is amazing.

indiana State Mass Choir - How Majestic Is Your Name

This is like a fast-paced, jazzed version of the first arrangment ( You know how at the end of Sister Act 2, they had like the choral version and then the choir version of Joyful, Joyful ). Very similar to that. I still kinda don't get this wax on-wax off clap, I can't exactly do it.

How majestic is your name STBNB choir

And this one is in an entirely different language! I'm guessing this is spanish, but then again what do I know about foreign languages? Also, This is alot more prettiful  ( I know that's not a word, but whatever)...

TWIN SENSATION LITTLE BOYS SINGING

this little boys are amazing! not sure what song they were singing, but I couldn't sing like that when I was 7, 10, or probably even 15. They got some talent, wow what a blessing.

Olanda Draper & The Associates - Praise the Lord Everybody

A song/video like this reminds me why I really love Gospel choirs. Like people just singing together, and like happy, great sounds/harmonies, synchronized clapping. I mean it's just awesome. I mean in this video, no one looks like they don't wanna be there..oh & the director makes some funny/crazy faces!

I Yield My All To Thee - O'Landa Draper & The Associates

Same choir, I really loved this song, never heard it before though. I really like their robes also. That ending is hot! Say I yield it! Yes, Lord.

Everyday Is A Day of Thanksgiving - Dr. Charles G. Hayes and The Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer Choir
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ooK66xOpZg
everyday is truly a day of thanksgiving. cuz his mercies are new every morning. anyways this is a old time classic. my home church choir's been singing this song since forever. (btw I thought the lyrics were " he open the door", but "he open my eyes" makes more sense). And I've never heard this ending before.

Trio - Cosmopolitan Church

this three guys kilt it! especially the guy WAY UP there! My church choir sung this song a while back, and I did too. I still don't know what this song is called, and I'm very sure it's not Trio. I was just really excited to find the original version of this song. Wouldn't have guessed it would be 3 guys.

okay that's it.
as you can see I probably need to stop watching youtube videos and get back to my homework....but I don't if that will happen anytime soon, considering to do some homework I have to be on the computer..
so until next time,

Yeha! More Youtube Vids!

I have nothing else better to do with my time but watch videos,
then make u watch them by posting them here!
so watch 'em!

White people and the N word...

I love  Haterazzi. and the Dark Hater, he just hates everyone, it's quite hilarious. but he brings up some good points about the N word. Now that white people are using it (well they've been using it, but in this way i guess), there's no way to get rid of it....ever!

Lil' Pooey Poo: I will run from you!

Someone please tell me why this was so hilarious. So yeha it's disgusting...but when people start pooping all over the place it's just really hilarious (well not in real life, cuz that just smells...but in cartoon form it quite hilarious)..

I'm A Scat Man

see look white people are funny! I don't know this I found this funny it just entertain me. (btw  in some black peoples' mind this is how all white people act)....

Off The Pill - Farts

so basically, don't hold in ur farts, cuz I sure won't. I mean when ya gotta let one go, just let it go. You can't hold on to stuff like that......

yeah that's it.
I hoped u laughed...
if ya didn't I'm sorry, that mean you probably have a stone cold flesh eating heart (wait then how are you alive?)....

Youtube Mania: Africano Boy

So one day while watching random videos this summer, I stumbled on the hilarity that is...
Africano Boy, what attracted me was the name very similar to Afroboiii (ya kno). so I decided to do a whole Youtube Mania to him. he's f'ing hilarious. Trust me.

He reminds me a lot of Chris Tucker (check out some of his standup) & myself oddly.
so just check these out.

he musta smelled some funky breath. but sometimes this is just what you want to tell people..

2. Cooking with AfroKeyshia

Love Potion #9

I watched Smokey Joe's Cafe ( I don't know what that is) the other night....

SMOKEY JOE\'s CAFE Pictures, Images and Photos

Love it! I don't think I've made a post about it yet....
but I think I'm going to "showcase" some of my favorite songs...

Love Potion #9
is pretty much my favorites song from the revue, its the one always stuck in my head...

It's basically a story of the a guy who goes to a gypsy who gives him a love potion, but it doesn't turn out too well....

Lyrics

I took my troubles down to Madame Rue
You know that gypsy with the gold-capped tooth
She's got a pad down on Thirty-Fourth and Vine
Sellin' little bottles of Love Potion Number Nine

I told her that I was a flop with chicks
I've been this way since 1956
She looked at my palm and she made a magic sign
She said "What you need is Love Potion Number Nine"

She bent down and turned around and gave me a wink
She said "I'm gonna make it up right here in the sink"
It smelled like turpentine, it looked like Indian ink
I held my nose, I closed my eyes, I took a drink

I didn't know if it was day or night
I started kissin' everything in sight
But when I kissed a cop down on Thirty-Fourth and Vine
He broke my little bottle of Love Potion Number Nine

------ guitar solo ------

I held my nose, I closed my eyes, I took a drink

I didn't know if it was day or night
I started kissin' everything in sight
But when I kissed a cop down on Thirty-Fourth and Vine
He broke my little bottle of Love Potion Number Nine
Love Potion Number Nine
Love Potion Number Nine
Love Potion Number Nine

Here's the video from Broadway Show (..it's the second song for all you slow people out there)

what I love about this version is the dance moves, which I saw back on some video are based off various male 60's group dance moves (Like the Temptation & others).

Here's it done by the Searchers(number one hit back in 1965)

Def Not as soulful, but I love it also. This song sounds like a total hit though, right?

The Searchers "stole" it from the Clovers, the original recorders of the song

sounds more like the Smokey Joe's Version...

Also done by the Coasters, who sung many of the songs in Smokey Joe's Cafe...

oh this is different, kinda hot.and funky....whew.....SERVE IT UP!....AND DRINK IT DOWN!

(list of people who did this song...)

This is kool though, seeing how a song changes, the history of a song....
Next song I'll do--??, I don't know....
but stay tuned (I'M TALKING TO YOU!!!)

Youtube Mania: Gospel Version (part 3)

the Mania continues with Jesus! (hahaha)
ummmmm yeha check it.
======================================================

1. Donnie McClurkin - Great Is Your Mercy (live)

It was good to see this live finally. I wanted to see if people look like what they sound like (and I've come to the conclusion that people don't). This is really good video (even though it's the same words repeated over and over, but his mercy is great..so it's appropriate)

2. Mississippi Mass Choir "Having You There"

This is an oldie. This chick is bad. Amazing. Found this on Gospelpundit.com (thanks ary). So I definitely had to post it. I love Mississippi Mass Choir though.

3. Bryant Jones and Chosen

So they came to my church on last Saturday (for the musical I sang in). They came right when my pastor was about to give benediction (really funny). But they're amazing. This video does not show that, but I couldn't find any other video. Check out their myspace for some amazing songs. This song is a pretty great one too.

*The choir director from my church is in this group*

4. (*NEW*)They That Wait by Fred Hammond

Not a video. But just a song. I heard this on the radio one Sunday, and was thinking about it, and I wasn't sure if it was new. I'll definitely get this album (maybe).

Alright that's it!

PEACE & CHICKEN GREASE!
