So I had to play my trumpet this summer,
I played the FIFA Official Song Wavin Flag by K'naan (how do you say that?).
I played the song for Breakthrough Olympics.
But anywayz this song is my jam now, mainly because I had to listen to it 40 bijillion time to make sure I had the notes and rhythm down.
Speaking of soccer, Spain won (I really didn't care either way) but I was kinda rooting for Netherlands because of Susanne (friend from Holland). I can't believe I watched that whole game, not one whole goal until like 5 mins before they were going to have to penalty kicks. What a slow game. I'm glad for Spain though, good for them.

Big Brother is back!!! Season 12!
I'm seriously considering trying out for this show after I graduate college. It would be kool.
This season there's one though black girl, but she's mixed, and basically has the same skin tone as some of the white people, Diversity big brother! There is a jew though. The big twist this season though is the saboteur, someone is giving up their chance to win half a million dollars to sabotage the houseguests. I think they have to last until the fifth week. I don't know who it is yet well find out on Thursday. The show comes on Sundays, Wednesday, Thursday, I definitely won't be watching it Wednesday, maybe sometimes Thursday so we'll see how this goes this summer.

Walking
I know this a really random subject, but this is what this blog is about I guess.
But this morning I was walking to class (yes I said morning 9:30 to be exact). And as I felt my body in that forward motion type movement, taking step after step, I started thinking about walking.
I began notice that other people around me were walking to places, also. And I started to think about people in the world who were walking also. And I started to think about how maybe some people were walking long distances or even short distances, or some people were walking trying to find food or water, others walking because they were lost and had no clue where they were going.
And then putting things in perspective, in the realm of all the people walking in the world simultaneously, I started to think how I was walking such as short distance, going to a almost meaningless event: class.
But then I thought how some people couldn't even walk, and some people were driving, or running. And I just thought about how people travel and we all hustle and bustle to get to places that we find important to us.
And then I started to think about how we learn to walk at a very young age, and yet it is so influential in our daily lives, and some times you just don't think about walking, because it just something that you natural do.
I don't know why I thought about walking, but sometimes it feels good to walk, especially when you're happy. But other times, like when I'm tired, I don't want to walk at all. But walking just always gives this image of moving forward, it kinda like directly linked with the concept of time, always moving forward.
so yeah, really random post, and just something to think about. so next time you're walking, think about walking and maybe the journey you're taking may not be as bad as thought or even as important.
Man, I'm too deep, sometimes I think I'm drowning in my own thoughts.

Winter Break is.....
awesome! !
I have done nothing but eaten, slept, showered, and watched TV,
and not necessarily in that order.
BUT
I seriously have somethings I must do:
Write Resume for Student Teaching Placement
Write an Essay about why I want to be a teacher
My plan is start on those on Monday, like really, but I'll probably end up procrasintating the
first couple of days, then again I don't plan on doing anything (like nothing) so I might end up actually getting it done before next year.
Then there are things I want to do:
Start the NCE website
GO SHOPPING for myself! ***this is kinda something I must do also**
Hopefully I can (theortically I should) get all this done before heading off to Tampa.
Yes, I can! I can do it! (ALL NIGHT LONG....whoa inapproriate!)...

I'm just gonna celebrate as much as I can.

Thanksgiving
Was pretty awesome. Started with my nucluer familial unit eating in a (un)traditional way:
in the living room, watching a movie @ like 10,11 in the morning.
Pretty awesome.
Then I chilled in the bed (my still fairly new soft FULL sized bed, so much betta than SMQ) watching TV.
Then we headed over to my Grandma's, where like all my family was at,
it was like the scene in Antwone Fisher, movie starring Denzel Washington and Derek Luke, where he's like
"home" and there's all these black people smiling, that exactly what it was like. And I felt really happy inside, cuz that's my family.
Anywayz there was like tons of food (and I'm probably forgetting something) : chicken, turkey, dressing, ham, collard greens, macroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, cabbage, conbread, ribs, potato salad, deviled eggs, chit'lins (ew), and like tons of desserts.
I laughed tons, and everyone just acted a straight fool, and I realized that's where I totally get my humor from, cuz like my whole family acts exactly the way I act, well to a certain extent because I am my own person.
I also just notice myself being alot more observative ( is that a word? ) than usual. It was like my teacher-ness kicking in. Or maybe it was just cuz I hadn't seen my family in a long time.
Anywayz it's been a really good break, I wish I could stay until here January or whatnot. That would be an awesome winter break!...hahaha.
But unfortnately I go to Northwestern University (which I love SO much.. I mean I'm paying 50 G's to go there....sooo yeha)
yeha that's it.

Um so I have nothing else better to do with my life.....
so I'm gonna update...
AND YOUR GONNA LIKE IT YOUNG MAN (or WOMAN or NEITHER if you're that bullfrog that just can't stop reading my posts..........you probably look something like this....

I'm Chillin' (like Wale)
I actually have nothing to update about, well I guess I kinda do, yeha I totally lied.....
so yesterday, the juniors of the secondary ed program here @ NU, met with the placement people: the MARY's ( and they looked exactly like this
jk)...They told us about the process of being placed for our student teaching. And as I am about most things, I don't care where I get placed, I just want to be somewhere, teaching.
But basically they were saying it's gonna be a long process. And we have to present a packet, and I have to write an essay about why I want to teach. And I'm not so sure why I do, i mean, I like math, and I think I like teaching (yeah it's gonna be a great essay). It's just letting me know that after graduating I'm going right to work, which is not gonna be fun, at first, but I'll know I'll get used to it....
wow that was a lot yet I still managed not to say much.......
oh, the marching/football season is almost OVER! Yes! (and No!). Truthfully, I'll be really happy when marching band is over, then I'll have time to do stuff. Meaning I'll have time to do absolutely nothing. But then football's gonna be over, which I kinda hate, it's SO bittersweet (which is an actually plant/tree thingy,
I didn't know that till I just googled it). But I'll get over it. It'll be exciting to be a "normal" student come winter quarter.
I think that's enough updating of sorts.......
I'll holla at cha later,
and hopefully u'll holla back, and
then will both be two freaking hollering fools,
and then people'll put us in a crazy house,
and then we'll devise a plan to escape,
and we totally get out for a day or two,
but then get caught, after ONE of us ( I won't say who)
runs over a police officer, and we have to go back to crazy house,
and we stay in there for like 70 years, until they realize it was all a big mix-up
and we were just two people hollering at each other,
so ya know what, you might want to holler back at me,
just let me be hollering fool all by my lonesome...

GO 'CATS BEAT THE EAGLES!
So band camp is officially over. (finally)
it was a tough week, but I made it through (thank God)...
felt really crappy the first couple of days but later felt okay (probably because I got more sleep).
so tomorrow we (by that I mean NU) play Eastern Michigan (btw last week we beat Townson really, really, REALLY, bad...UNDEFEATED BABY!) anywayz...we should win. but what's really special about this is the band is going to be there (including me). it should be exciting for halftime we're doing a Michael Jackson/Motown show, the songs are pretty awesome. The thing is we'll be doing it with a ton of high school musicians.(interesting right?)....
anywayz I'm excited for NUMB's opening game.
hopefully you will be there (or seee it on TV, BTN I believe)

Time for a Change
I'm a person that loves Change (that's why I voted for Obama, and also the fact that he was black...)
Change can be scary, but it can also be exciting
sometimes Change is bad, sometimes it's rewarding
sometimes Change comes in the form of cents,
other times Change leaves ya broke.
but this morning I woke up and I felt it was time for change.
and I did the most drastic thing I could do to myself:
I cut off all my hair!
okay so I have never done this, nor have I cut off anyone else's hair.
But hey, it is what it is now.
so I guess you could say I'm no longer a Afroboiii (what are the extra two i's for?!)
but I would have to disagree, cuz I'm still black.
it feels weird though to have no hair, but I must admit I like it....
it'll be nice to wake up and go ( not really, but you know).
so yeha.....

Craziness! Okay so Michelle is HOH, and just like I thought no one knew what she was going to do (so predictable). anywayz Jesse was evicted this week. so his three chicas: Natalie, Chima, Lydia, had like this mourning, cry-fest, for him like he had died or something (it seemed to be led by Lydia with her Jesse-infatuated self).
Anywayz Michelle nominated Chima & Natalie, she's really looking for Chima to go home. Which may have already happened, because at the end of today's episode they revealed that someone "self-destructs" and is removed from the house. I wouldn't be suprised if it was one of the mourning girls. idk we'll see. ( I could of course just cheat and look it up online, but i like built up suspense).
Should be an interesting week, with the double eviction (maybe not happening now?) and this random person removed from the house. yeap...

I feel like what he did to the dogs was terrible (although my first thought really is..."it's just some damn dogs"..but then again never had a dog as a pet) but he shouldn't have gotten two years for it.
His story reminded me of Job, I guess, except I'm not sure if he was a righteous man, but from the interview he pretty much said he wasn't. But it reminds me of that because he lost his job and all the money, had to file bankruptcy, was in prison for 2 years...i mean crazy, like going from the top to bottom.
But he said he's sorry, and Like I said with Chris Brown thing, if you got forgiveness with God, forget what those other people saying, cuz they don't really care about him anywayz. I'm sure everything'll work out for him though.
