Been home [a little more than] a week.

And it's weird.
Because I have that feeling like I would over a spring/winter break......I'll get back to Evanston soon enough (which is still true in this instance) but it's gonna be in a total different way.

I'll be living in actual place of my own (the search for that is still ongoing and actual quite stressful, how I would love to play over $1000 for a 1 bedroom, I don't know if it's really worth it, esp since I have loans to payoff.......Do I want to live in Evanston or Chicago?....I just don't know, because I've never done this before...so really unsure but I'll figure something out, I'll keep you updated)

But really I have that feeling like I'm tired of being in K3 and that I'll be heading back to Evanston soon to hangout with friends and get ready for classes, but that defintiely's not happening..
And really I do not like being home.
One, I feel like there's nothing to do/I don't want to do anything
Two, No one is here
Three, family is family, but annoying after awhile, esp parents, its like stop telling me what to do, I'm not a teenage anymore, they don't understand that though.

Only a month left though, I'm sure I'll miss K3, but really looking forward to things to come.
Like sometimes I forget that I already have a job, because I literally have nothing to do, but there are moments of enlightenment when I'm like 'wait I have my own classroom, and students, and getting actual money for it'. It's a really great feeling....

But in the meantime, I need to find stuff to do.
yeah.
Random PIcture time.
that baby is so cute...and I would totally say the same thing/have the same facial expression if I was with Obama.

Random Factoid.

Did you know?A shrimp's heart is located in its head.

Another random picture (just cuz I felt like it)

hello World

this is ya boy,
the one that brings ya joy
when ya all shy and coy,
sippin on a sauce called soy

lately i've been feeling like rhymin
ya know that slick poetry
and since school had me overtimin
time just wasn't free

but at home in my comfy bed
chillin at half an hour to midnight
i thought i would break off some creative bread
and to the world i'd write

somethin real kool
somethin that would make ya drool
somethin that have ya lookin like a fool
sans pants on the ground, i'm not that cruel

so i hope you listen, I hope you like
so I hope I to inspire, make ya fly like mike
with my simple words, spitting from my lips
dripping down my arms to my fingertips

see, sometimes I try to see but I'm blind
and sometimes I try to speak but I'm a mime
and sometimes I try to touch but I can't reach
and sometimes I try to taste but there's no peach-

PIE that jilll made, so all i can do
is listen with my ears of two
and trust, hold on like glue,
when actually I have no clue.

Like I don't know how to play that game,
Literally I've never played clue,
and as long as things remain the same,
I'll focus on hitting the cue

Wherever that strike leads,
hopefully in the corner pocket,
unlocking the door of the freed,
releasing the sky-bound rocket

Of my maturity, my insecurity,
my nature, my legislature,
my sobriety, my entirety,
my debaters, my creators

and yes, I ask who's talking?
Who's the one in charge?
Who's the boss, the one pimp-walking?
Who is the man at large?

Who's the one swiping the credit card?
Who's the one scooping up the pig lard?
Who's the one that said it was hard?
Who jumped that extra yard?

Questions, so many unanswered.
It's actually kinda awkward
Down right absurd
I'm a little perturbed

Because, I'm an  the Afroboiii,
the number one, not number three,
and if you knew alot things
you would know about me.

But ya don't, so your dog has fleas
and please take him of the leash.
Try to give him some carrots and peas
and maybe some

Changes, Movies, and Such

It's been great being home for a couple of days. Just relaxing, actually being able to watch TV, chatting with family, laughing, makes me wish I kinda wasn't doing anything this summer, but hey...

there's been a couple major changes in the home though (none of which you probably really care about)
  • different living room furniture  like the couch, entertainment thingy, curtains, just different
  • my room's got another addition first it was the treadmill, now I got a different dresser thingy, not to mention my bed is no longer against the wall, and I don't have a headboard, kinda hard to sleep
  • and no KOOL-AID! it's like a sin against being black or something; I just can't see home w/o kool-aid, they trying to be healthy and stuff just drinking water. can we at least get some juice?
There's other changes but they're not so  significant i suppose.

but I guess all these changes don't matter cuz I'll be leaving in two days. Which I am so excited about it. I don't really know what to expect, cuz its a place I've never been and around people I don't know. it's just Unknown and unfamiliar territory. But I'm excited. I'll get you updated (I'll get around to making that other blog, Afroboiii in Colorado?!, in a couple days probably after I get there, I don't know how do it. as soon as I know you should).

While I was home though, watched some movies ( I actually started watching a couple Face/off & X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but I couldn't get into them, Wolverine is probably good just didn't feel like getting into. Face/off just looked dumb so..)

I did watch these though

Master of Disguise
with Dana Carvery. I watched it with my brother (that lil munchkin). I hadn't seen this movie in a while, it came out in 2002. but it was pretty hilarious. 'I am not turtely enough for the turtle club' finally made sense, and the villian guy farting everytime he laughed evil(ly) was SO funny. the Story was booty of course, but they didn't intend on being serious or having a good plot at all. I Loved it though.

Norbit
with Eddie's Murphy(s). This is old time fav, probably seen it a bijillion time before. Still hilarious, but I guess I started thinking what really makes being that fat so funny. It's really kinda offensive I suppose. and like  at that u need to lose weight, not making a mockery of yourself.  But it is kinda more of the character, then again i'm not sure.

Why Did I Get Married Too? (on bootleg)
Yes, on bootleg. My parents hadn't seen it either, so we had to get the bootleg to watch it. So this Movie. Definitely not one his (tyler perry) best. I believe it wasn't that great because this was (basically from my persepctive) in reaction to his mother's death. I guess he didn't want to think about, and he had to keep working to get his mind off it. The movie definitely needed some more work (esp the ending). This movie was really crazy though, and alot random stuff happened, but definitely not as good as the first one.

alright
next post will probably be in Colorado

Movie Rambling

so this past weekend (easter weekend)
i went home (yeha).....it was really good...all day Saturday i watched mad TV ( not the show Mad Tv, but just alot of tv...hope you got that...)

but anywayz my family got comcast digital so we have like alot channels....and ON DEMAND
so I also watched movies...
so basically just going home is great...it feels like the regular world...
but anywayz these are the movie i watched...(very insightful)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
memento

(dude is like naked in the poster)
omg!
this is a movie you should see...all i'm going to tell you is that its about a man whose lost his short term memory..and is looking for his wife's murderer...really good.. you should see it...

the main character guy is Guy Pierce ...and some other people....
but um....dude was like in is draws...like for like 75% of the movie (okay, maybe 65%)
kinda unnecessary still...but whatev watch this movie....
it's really good...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
the last dragon.......

was the other movie i watched...this is an oldie (classic?) in the black community... i think... it came out in 1985... it was like the first black kung fu movie....
main character's name is Bruce Leroy (???? wtf) (from Bruce Lee) but um its a Berry Gordy movie so that makes sense....

so the movie was really horrible...the plot was really stupid...the acting was kinda terrible....
the only person that could act was like the Bruce's little brother (played by Leo O'Brien..) but other than that pretty horrible...

the most exicting part of the movie was the last 15 mins when Bruce Leroy finally fights his arch-nemesis Sho'nuff ( a cross- between the bad guy from the ninja turtles and Busta Rhymes (reee- dunk- u -lous right? (dude that was a comment insidede a comment , and this one is one too....blah blah blah....) ) ) [<---- see the parentheses??]

i think Busta Rhymes realized this cause according to the wikipedia page (here)... Busta Rhymes parodied Sho'nuff in one of his videos..... here's picture comparisons...

BUSTA RHYMES as SHO'NUFF

SHO'NUFF

also in the movie Sho'nuff wears this Kanye glasses (see above)...with the lines running from left to right...
so nothin these days is original...geez....
KANYE WEST w/ SHO'NUFF glasses

so why should you watch this movie??? because it horrible
and everyone should experience it's horrible-ness (yes that 's a word, see i used it)

also there's talk of remake....hopefully it would be betta than this crap...but yeha

anywayz...that's it...

Home.....

When I think of home I think of a place where there's love overflowing....
I'm finally...home...where I belong..

for some reason just the thought of home is exciting...
being in a place of familiarity is just great..no feeling like it...
although nothing of great interest will happen on break (so i assume)
it's nice to be with family...

instead of that crazy northwestern...
where crazy stuff is always happening...
and my freaking life feels like a blur (???)

yeha home
listen to this song "Home" by Diana Ross,
from the movie musical THE WIZ,
great movie watching that over break

aight then
