Way to update, Adrian! Yeah I've been kinda neglectful, but who cares this is my blog.
Anyways this is just about some movies I watched this summer.
my GS (guardian spirit, sorta like a secret santa for the summer with the Christmas aspect) got me two movies. Wedding Crashers
I've seen this movie once, but it's cool to own it, and I didn't even have to pay for it. Vince Vaughn is SO Hilarious in this movie. it's pretty great.
Seven
I saw this film probably about 5, 10, 15 idk years ago. Stars Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt, who are detectives trying to solve a case involving the seven deadly sins, it's pretty good thriller, mystery movie. Kudos to my GS!
I also finally saw Inception,
pretty trippy movie, and amazing. You totally gotta pay attention, I still missed some stuff even though I swear I was paying attention. I saw this move with some Breakthrough Staff members. It was pretty kool, though it reminds me so much of The Prestige (one of my favorite movies), with like all the different scenarios happening simultaneously, which is funny because both of those movies were made by Christopher Nolan, who also did Black Night, so that tells you something right there.
This weekend was the first time I felt homesick.
More so I miss my family, than being in K3.
Probably because it was 'Da Forth', that's what we I call it.
(btw I hope everyone had a great holiday)
and because my mom's b-day is on Wednesday.
And i realized it's the first time I won't be with my mom for her bday,
but I talked to her so it's okay. and i suppose she had 19 without me. so she'll be okay.
I don't feel as homesick now mainly cuz I talked to my family yesterday.
And plus I have a week of teaching to look forward to, so I think I'm good.

So I had the house to myself, and there's a piano in the house, which means I started playing it.
And along with some sheet music I got from somewhere online, I started to play the first part of "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers
Love this song. Goal: By the end of the summer, be able to play the whole thing? Maybe. Idk.

I also watched a couple of movies.
I finally saw Wanted.
Let's just say I loved this movie. A lot of the scenarios and actiony-thingys that happened where SO unbelievable, like when that car landed on top of the train and then kept going. CRAZY! And pretty much how all the characters survived all those dangerous situations.
I really enjoyed this movie though. It was funny and had tons of actions and good 'ol killin'. Very graphic though. I can mark being a secret spy assassin off my list of career choices, definitely not doing that after seeing this movie, I might end up killing my father. whoops!
I also saw Not Easily Broken.
It was pretty good movie. Kinda got too emotional towards the end , like to much crying. But a very dramatic movie, You can definitely tell it's based off a book. In the end though its a movie about marriage, which doesn't apply to me at this point, but a very good Black movie in my opinion.

Not easily broken kinda reminds me a Tyler Perry movie (doesn't every black movie some where involving church make you think of that. Can you say Monopoly anyone?)
Anywayz that reminded me of the Boondocks episode, 'Pause', where they make fun Tyler Perry, portraying him as a person who uses God to have sex with men. And apparently at least some aspect of that is true, because on the rumor circuit mill (See rhymeswithsnitches), Tyler Perry has gotten the episode to stop being shown...yeah. But you should definitely see the episode, if you haven't.
It's been great being home for a couple of days. Just relaxing, actually being able to watch TV, chatting with family, laughing, makes me wish I kinda wasn't doing anything this summer, but hey...
there's been a couple major changes in the home though (none of which you probably really care about)
different living room furniture like the couch, entertainment thingy, curtains, just different
my room's got another addition first it was the treadmill, now I got a different dresser thingy, not to mention my bed is no longer against the wall, and I don't have a headboard, kinda hard to sleep
and no KOOL-AID! it's like a sin against being black or something; I just can't see home w/o kool-aid, they trying to be healthy and stuff just drinking water. can we at least get some juice?
There's other changes but they're not so significant i suppose.
but I guess all these changes don't matter cuz I'll be leaving in two days. Which I am so excited about it. I don't really know what to expect, cuz its a place I've never been and around people I don't know. it's just Unknown and unfamiliar territory. But I'm excited. I'll get you updated (I'll get around to making that other blog, Afroboiii in Colorado?!, in a couple days probably after I get there, I don't know how do it. as soon as I know you should).
While I was home though, watched some movies ( I actually started watching a couple Face/off & X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but I couldn't get into them, Wolverine is probably good just didn't feel like getting into. Face/off just looked dumb so..)

Master of Disguise
with Dana Carvery. I watched it with my brother (that lil munchkin). I hadn't seen this movie in a while, it came out in 2002. but it was pretty hilarious. 'I am not turtely enough for the turtle club' finally made sense, and the villian guy farting everytime he laughed evil(ly) was SO funny. the Story was booty of course, but they didn't intend on being serious or having a good plot at all. I Loved it though.
Norbit
with Eddie's Murphy(s). This is old time fav, probably seen it a bijillion time before. Still hilarious, but I guess I started thinking what really makes being that fat so funny. It's really kinda offensive I suppose. and like at that u need to lose weight, not making a mockery of yourself. But it is kinda more of the character, then again i'm not sure.
Why Did I Get Married Too? (on bootleg)
Yes, on bootleg. My parents hadn't seen it either, so we had to get the bootleg to watch it. So this Movie. Definitely not one his (tyler perry) best. I believe it wasn't that great because this was (basically from my persepctive) in reaction to his mother's death. I guess he didn't want to think about, and he had to keep working to get his mind off it. The movie definitely needed some more work (esp the ending). This movie was really crazy though, and alot random stuff happened, but definitely not as good as the first one.

all though I only have 4 to talk about.
1. Hearts and Souls
This one is a classic, well a childhood classic. It came out in 1993. Starring Robert Downey Jr, Alfre Woodard, Kyra Sedgwick, and two other white guys I don't know the names of. I won't give away too much of the movie, actually I won't tell you what its about. But this is the movie that made me love Robert Downey Jr, Alfre Woodard and B.B. King. Ahh I love this movie. It makes me cry, laugh, sing, and leaves me with a warm feeling inside. So, watch it!

2. G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra
Pretty kool film, I guess, not the best, I think this is probably a good movie to see in surround sound or something, because its just like action the whole time I feel. It is basically about these two guys who become apart of the G.I. Joes. not much I can say. Stars Channing Tatum (who needs a little bit more acting experience, really) and Marlon Wayans, def. one of his more serious roles, I guess. I mean the movie kinda made me wanted to see a sequel. I'm expecting something great to come afterward, but i doubt it will be any good.
3. The Book of Eli
saw this on a whim, totally unplanned. This was a great film. If you've seen the trailer or anything about the movie, it's totally not that. I was really surprised that it turned into a "Christian" film. I mean after viewing the trailer, I thought it was just another Denzel movie where he's killing people. But it's totally different than that. It's has a purpose to it all. It really touched my heart, but I wished it coulda been a little shorter. Great movie though, all though I doubt Denzel will get any Oscars for it (that what happens when you try to make a movie with a Christian message I guess)
4. Dance Flick
you would probably be totally fine if you never see this movie in your life. I admit some parts were funny, and it was great how they made fun of so many movies in one, but it just didn't seem really coherent, some transitions could've been better, and then end left me feeling so empty. The star character though, Damon Wayans, Jr. definitely has some potential to be funny, like its aunties and uncles, I totally see it. So I am excited to see him do more comedy, but this movie could have been done so much better......

Super!BB Updation
Last week : Okay so last week Jeff was HOH, he put up Kevin and Natalie as pawns, he also won POV, nominated Russell in place of Kevin. Russell went home.
This week: KEVIN became HOH (YES!). Thought he was going to put up Jordan and Michele but he put up Jeff in Jordan's sted. Michele won HOH, so Jordan and Jeff were against each other. And Jeff went home (guess he's not winning it America) .
FINAL FOUR! : Kevin, Natalie, Michele, and Jordan (will a woman win this season?)
Unfortunately Kevin has "blood" on his hands now. so we'll see what happens.....I want Kevin to win, but at this point I don't really care anymore...

Movie Rambling : A.I
I watched this a few days ago. Okay I loved this movie up until about the last 30 minutes, it just got too unrealistic. This was almost going to be on favorite movies list (which is pretty long already)...but it's definitely something I would watch again.
Stars Haley Joel Osment, who plays David, a robot type kid (the first of its kind) who basically wants to become a "real boy" (yes like Pinocchio) to gain his "mother's" affection. Osment acting was amazing for however old he was at the time of filming. Also starred Jude Law, who was basically a human, but still robot, vibrator type thingy, like people were having sex with robots!.
It was funny though, cuz at first I was like "I'm not gonna feel bad for this robot, he's not even human", but that movie had me mad at those people what they did to David. So it was good I enjoyed it.

so ol girl, umm Laura , from the Popular clique went home. Ironically I thought she would be the most likely to win (see how wrong I was), but this was before the first episode. cuuz there was vids of all the cast online, and I watched them. She just seemed the most determined, and was like she came to win soo I thought she would. But she went home mainly becasue she ran her mouth too much, she was talking smack about the HOH, Ronnie, not such a good thing. So she went home, NOT Russell. I think that may come to bite back Ronnie in the butt, actually I think he might be going home next week but who knows, crazy big brother.
Yeha, he might not go home, because Jessie is HOH (again, ughhhh)..and they're supposed to be in a alliance, but who knows well see. Most def on Tuesday.
Last day was on Friday, it was an okay program, not as many children came back that was there doing the week. That seems to happen every year, but what can you do?. ummmm it was good though. I'm definitely glad it's over, cuz it was kinda stressful, but not THAT stressful. It was also TIRING. but now I don't have nothing (ooo double negative) to do per say...but I'll figure that out. I'm thinking about joining the choir thing for a musical at my church, but I don't know if I want to...we'll see....but for VBS that's it....
Saw this movie today, one word: CRAZINESS!!. Omg! This movie was ridiculous in the beginning, got kinda boring, predictable towards the end. I won't reveal to much of it. but Shia LaBaeof and this other lady (Michelle Monaghan...???) are seen as terrortists, and are basically running for their lives. Basically it's a set up. But by who? Pretty good movie, got and kept my attention.
Watched the first part of this. and I guess it was better than the last one, can't remember what "Part 1" was like. But you know there was def a theme this time: Tommorrow Leaders. Basically showed people who are preparing and those becoming those Leaders. There was a small shout-out ,if you will, to NU. One of the people from the show who was of main focus, is (went?) to Kellogg, so that was really kool to see. I think it also gave a more diverse specturm of what it means to be black in America than what I remember from the first one. pretty kool, I guess.
They're supposed to be doing a Latino in America also....interesting.....my question is should they do a White in America? Or do we all already know that story!
Just wanted to say I am so excited for the upcoming football season at NU! (for the 70th time). triggered by a football game. the Big Ten Network showed the game '08 against Illinois (our rivarly, and interestingly the nearest Big Ten School to my house). We won this game. and It just got me so excited to watch the game and see our football team winning (all that purple), and also to faintly hear the band in the background....it's just way to amazing. I saw a clip of the band once, like 2 second clip of the band, and I went crazy!
okay, so I bought this movie on DVD, aftre hesitating whether or not i should buy it. and I watched it lasted night, and I was like this movie was/is Amazing!
my favorite character, the one I would mostly likely like (??) to portray in stage production, would be the Lion, played by Ted Ross, this character is funny, and Ross is amazing! Tidbit: He was actually the lion in the original Broadway production, probably why he does such a great job. He doesn't really look like himself with all the make up & costume on (photographic evidence below).
Also he also sings one of my fav musical songs I'm a Mean Ole Lion (the background is amazing, the trumpets, the whole arrangement, amazes me everytime, AND the snarling of the Lion, like whaaa)

my second favorite one would be the Scarecrow, beautifully portrayed by the late Michael Jackson. and watching this movie last night I was like "MJ did a great job!" like i never really notice before, but everything he did was very sincere, like u really get the feeling he's this scarecrow. oh & love his quote at the end of the film. Success, fame, and fortune, they're all illusions. All there is that is real is the friendship that two can share. This makes me kinda upset he didn't do more movies, but hey. this one is great.
I know I'm getting very analytical of this movie (which is a secret passion of mine, not so much a secret anymore), but I really discovered that this movie has a deeper message about Freedom.
if you look at it, the Scarecrow was stuck up on the pole , the Tin Man was stuck under Tiny, and the Lion was stuck in the Lion stature thing. For various reasons they were stuck and weren't free until Dorothy came along, who ironically was stuck in this land called Oz. The Scarecrow was stuck on the pole because he was listening to people (the crows) telling him he could never get down, the Tin Man stuck under tiny, his past lover or whatnot, she was bringing him down, and the Lion stuck by his past of not showing courage or what not.
AND after they kill Evillene,they, along with all the workers, sing A Brand New Day, which to me is the time in which everyone receives their freedom. Freedom from those things that held them down/back. Then, coming to only find out that this "Wiz" which they looked to get their freedom from, was also stuck, behind his dishonesty, and his own past of not being able to get elected to office. But after Dorothy helps everyone realize their freedom, she is able to be free, and return home.
Overall, I think maybe the people who wrote this was just saying to people ( i think more so black people) is to get Free, stop letting people hold you back, and those things you don't think you got, look within yourself it's there, you just have these obstacles holding you back and you can't see that you possess what you desire. ( this is HEAVY!!!!)
I'm just really glad I bought this DVD, now I can watch it anywhere, pretty kool. btw this movie is def a Black-tackular one.
2nd day completeo! yeha! pretty kool, alot like yesterday, but still had fun nevertheless. We pretty much had the same children from yesterday, so I was really trying to know their names & charactersitcs now. There's a couple of "bad" ones: one that just wants to talk all the time, and the other is just like crazy...
It's kinda hard, to me, to teach kids about God, well not hard, but just really difficult, unless you really make it at a level where they can understand, but I think most of them get the basic concept, they just don't seem like their paying attention. I don't know. pretty kool day, today.

The Coach of the Wildcats was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, not for coaching, but for being a player @ NU in '95. He wons some awards that I don't want to look the name up. But anywayz dude was a beast on defense. This once again makes me excited about NU football season. AHH!

The black girl, Chima, was almost gone y'all. I was about to be mad. But Braden (white surfer dude, in the popular clique) was evicted from the BB house, which is good cuz supposedly he said some racist stuff or something, idk nothin about it.
Ronnie (the Star Wars nerd guy) won HOH (big suprise, like really). so that means Chima is safe. kool. I'm not sure what's gonna happen with Ronnie as HOH, hopefully he'll be smart (hahaha get it he's apart of the Brain clique?) and put up an Athlete (Jessie or Russell would be good to me at least). The game has begun . yeha that's it.
watched this Spike Lee Joint last night. It was alright. Basically a 2 HOUR movie about DAY in Bed-Stuy (shouldn't it be spelled "Bed Sti" cuz that how people say it..). I mean there was a lot racism in this movie and such (by such I mean profanity). And I see he was trying to bring racism up as a topic for discussion.
The ending was a little crazy, thoug, very dramatic from outta nowhere. Def a Black-tackular movie. I just thought it would be more funny then it wuz for some strange odd reason.
Oh, Spike Lee is in the movie, and I was watchin' it and I was like why he gotta be in all his films, cuz he's a terrible actor, like fo real. but anywayz this is definitely going on the list.
so today as I was cleaning the kitchen and the bathroom ( i don't know for some reason I just felt like doing that. well the dishes were piled high, i really didn't have to clean the bathroom though), I was listening to Musicals on my Ipod (Wicked, Sweeny Todd, the Wiz, Dreamgirls, Annie , Bye Bye Birdie, etc.) And I just began to think about how much I miss the THEATRE. I really enjoyed the stage in high school, it was really funn (duh, or else i would've done it).
ThereFORE I'm thinking about trying to do some type of play thing when I head back to NU. That would be SO kool. but yeha..I was totally in Musical mood today.
Also today, I randomly watched two basketball games from NU's previous season on the Big Ten Network.
In both of these games we won (GO 'CATS!). One against Purdue (Pur- Don't) & the other Ohio State (boo!), both of these were amazing games that I hadn't seen before. My question: why couldn't they play like that in the all games (especially the Illinois Game) ? they were just amazing. Hopefully we get better this year coming up.
Watching these NU basketball games made me think of football. and I am so excited for the football season. I love football, especially NU. but NU has really allowed me to enjoy football all around. but um yeha excited about that even though it's far away.

so since I haven't been up to much I have been watching tons & tons of stuff, including movies (with On Demand and such). Here's a list of ones I thought was worth mentioning...
*sidenote: Don't think I updated about this on here, but me and my friends decided to come up with a Black Movie List ( I think the official title is Black-tackular...). A Black Movie is movie where the main character(s) are black...basically (at least to me) there has to me 3 or more main black characters...but anywayz some movies will be Black-tackular worthy...so that's what that means.*
1. Double Platinum
this movie stars Diana Ross & Brandy, came out in the '90s. Anywayz I found this movie highly enjoyable (more than I expected I guess). I mean there was singing and even a little drama. oh, the plot, so Diana Ross is Brandy's mother. Diana Ross is a star, and Brandy is an upcoming one. (yeha so they get to sing). But I enjoyed it. I think it's definitely Black-tackular worthy.
2.Final Destination
watched this one On Demand. I was looking for something with drama and thrill, and I thought this would be it. Okay, It Def was. so that airplane scene was crazy, wait the whole movie was crazy. I feel like someone has to be crazy/suicidal to think of different ways for people to die. Though, I do want to watch the rest of the series now. But I def had to watch something funny after this (even though it wasn't that scary)...just so I would think about it. It was actually a "scary" movie and not gory.
3.The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings
Yes, a long title = hilarity. Really enjoyed this film. Kinda old, came out in the '70s (as you see I don't try to get correct dates, who cares?). But it stars Billy Dee Williams & James Earl Jones (Love how it's their whole names) who are pretty young in this film, at least compared to now. It's basically a sports movie (baseball), but actually really funny. At first I didn't really get the humor (idk sometimes I'm really slow). But this is most def black-tackular worthy.
4. Fantastic four 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer
I remember seeing the first one, and I thought it was pretty awesome (at least what I could remember of it) but I found the sequel to be really lame (per usual). I don't know it wasn't exciting to me at all. It sucked. One funny thing: I forgot Kerry Washington's character was blind, I was just like what happened to her?! cuz she had such a funny look on her face. Then someone said something and I was like oh she's blind. Other than that really didn't like it. I know what it was. It got to outer spacey. yeha.......
5. Cube
Okay really enjoyed this movie. About seven people who find themselves in place full of cubes. And basically try to escape. That's all I have to say. It was a pretty good movie though. It really interested me, the math involved in the movie (cuz I'm geek......). If there was more black people in this movie it would definitely be black-tackular (i think one of the guys was mixed....maybe he might've been hispanic or something). but it's not soooooo.....
6. Waterworld
Also, another movie I really loved. Basically the polar caps melted and now humans live on water, no land in sight. Basically its like generation, and generations after they melt, so like people are used living on the water. In fact, people start to mutate to like fish-men. Stars some white guy (sorry not good with names). I had to look this up. Kevin Costner. Really enjoyed this movie though. I actually don't think there was any black people in this movie (guess we wouldn't surivive if the polar caps melted....hahaha...). I didn't think about that till now. Like I do watch movie without black people.

Wait, I watched X-Men, for the first time last night... (this poster is kinda hot......anywayz) that movie was awesome! can i say that???!....(yes i can this is my blog) but um yeah...is there sequels to this? it has to be (yes i checked dummy there is sequel, gosh!)... anyway it was kinda amazing...
speaking of movies....i also watched this movie called Gattaca, takes place in the future... where people basically get to pick the genes of their kids....so it brought the idea of geonism, (racism of the genes, i mean i kno that's not right but whatev..) i think it was called...and i was just like that would be crazy...like talk about being discriminated for who you are...like damn! they'd be like 'yo genes aint no good, you can't have this job' ...crazy thought right? i enjoyed it, tho.
Rahsaan Patterson....sounds like Chaka Khan(that's a statement and a fact, no opinon), that's all i have to say (well not really)...he's like a neo-soul artist (people i like more and more the more i listen to their music) but ummm dude is kinda kool...I can't remember the exact song but he sounds just like Chaka Khan and I'm like, that's crazy..(well it aint that crazy)

Came out a while ago....Starring Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson, and Samuel Jackson....
This movie was actually disappointing.....i felt it could've been so much better...one.really didn't understand Samuel Jackson's character or the whole opposition people...why he was hunting.......the reason was kinda stupid for me...but whatev... also i thought it could've been longer to develop stuff more........yeha could've been so much better to me...i still didn't quite understand how the jumping worked either. i mean i understand what happened just not the possibilities...idk.....but whatev....it's all good

I actually woke up and turned to BET (one of my fav's of course!) ..and this movie was coming on...so I watched it, duh! but umm... this movie stars Duane Martin , and Kelly Rowland (btw i heard, my gossip, her and Beyonce aren't speaking at this moment mainly because of Bey's daddy....wha-ev...drama..)
anywayz...Kelly Rowland plays this big singer..and Duane Martin is trying to become a lawyer, but basically broke........just a love story about how they get together......it was kool i guess...didn't really expect it to be much...I guess Kelly Rowland did a good job....because it was only till half way through it i was like oh, that's Kelly Rowland...yeha....

The title totally makes sense once you watch this movie....this movie is brought to you by the guy who played Borat...Sasha Baron Cohen.....pretty much this dude is crazy.....not as funny as Borat...but it defintely has some crazy moment of it owns... full of british accents...and stuff...
i guess i enjoyed this one....(btw Borat is actually in this movie strangely enough, also Sasha is coming out with another movie starring another one of his characters/personalities, Bruno i think...... yeah that was the dude who put his butt in eminem's face...which was planned btw...might check that movie out..hahaha)

with Amy Poheler and Tiny Fey...okay movie...would say this move was kinda predictable..i mean i knew it could only go certain ways...and everything i thought just about happened....but Poheler and Fey are pretty funny....which made the movie alot better........kool movie by my standards....also has the black guy (Romany Malco) from 40 year old virgin...who made it randomly funny also...but kool...watch it...

so i went home for Memorial Day weekend, which also turned out to be my Dad's birthday weekend (but i forgot about that cuz im a terrible son) yeha my cousin also graduated on Sunday, so she had a party at her house...and i saw all my fam and stuff...it was cool.....
oh my cousin told me this.. "omg! is a white phrase.. black people should start saying osn! it stands for 'oh, shit nigga'" (although i dont really don't like that word that much to use it in a daily phrase) maybe i will...(probably not)
while at home, i watched the movie Obsessed
on bootleg...(yeha i did it) i thought beyonce did a pretty good job, she's starting to come into her own i guess, the movie actually made me sorta mad, but it did a good job. it was very predictable, but expected.
i also watched another movie today (whoa this totally made became a movie rambling) called Watermelon Heist,
i saw it on Hulu (<---find it here), people thought it was really racist and what not,but i thought it was pretty funny....you should watch it, tell me what you think...
also couple days ago I watched the pilot episode of a new Fox show that will air in the Fall, Glee
i thought it was pretty interesting. the singing was great, and i see the potential for a great show. will definitely be checking upon this show come the fall. Should be interestin

omg! this is a movie you should see...all i'm going to tell you is that its about a man whose lost his short term memory..and is looking for his wife's murderer...really good.. you should see it...
the main character guy is Guy Pierce ...and some other people.... but um....dude was like in is draws...like for like 75% of the movie (okay, maybe 65%) kinda unnecessary still...but whatev watch this movie.... it's really good...
was the other movie i watched...this is an oldie (classic?) in the black community... i think... it came out in 1985... it was like the first black kung fu movie.... main character's name is Bruce Leroy (???? wtf) (from Bruce Lee) but um its a Berry Gordy movie so that makes sense....
so the movie was really horrible...the plot was really stupid...the acting was kinda terrible.... the only person that could act was like the Bruce's little brother (played by Leo O'Brien..) but other than that pretty horrible...
the most exicting part of the movie was the last 15 mins when Bruce Leroy finally fights his arch-nemesis Sho'nuff ( a cross- between the bad guy from the ninja turtles and Busta Rhymes (reee- dunk- u -lous right? (dude that was a comment insidede a comment , and this one is one too....blah blah blah....) ) ) [<---- see the parentheses??]
i think Busta Rhymes realized this cause according to the wikipedia page (here)... Busta Rhymes parodied Sho'nuff in one of his videos..... here's picture comparisons...

starring Don Cheadle, Tariji P. Henson, one black guy whose like british (whaa?, totally unexpected) Chiwetel Ejiofor (don't know how to say that), and others... just pretty amazing cast. Cheadle is pretty awesome...like really...look out for him...

uber disappointing ( uber? yes uber...)... maybe me seeing the actual musical first wasn't such a good thing...totally ruined any chance of me liking this movie.... Here's my problems with Sweeney Todd: 1. Singing= bad....i don't know.......i feel like when something is a musical....you shouldn't have people who just learned how to sing yesterday....jus bad...
2. the murder scenes = gore, way too much over the top , almost to the point of comedy
3. finally, there's like NO opening song nor ending song...........boo!!

okay, so this movie is Tim Burton all the way...I mean I totally saw his movie-ness all up in this. I decided to watch this movie randomly cuz I hadn't seen it since i was a kid, and I couldn't remember what it was about, all i remembered was Edward was cutting people's bushes.
and basically for the first half of the movie that's what going on, edward cuts people's bushes, and does people's hair, and dogs...so yeha...but then it finally picked up in the second half......
if you don't know Johnny Depp played Edward Scissorhands, this guy is good at playing creepy characters....this was the first Depp-Burton movie...oh and the story is actually about Burton, well burton didn't have scissorhands...lot deeper than that....but intersting movie....
