sooo...um...randoms..

This weekend was the first time I felt homesick.
More so I miss my family, than being in K3.
Probably because it was 'Da Forth', that's what we I call it.
(btw I hope everyone had a great holiday)
and because my mom's b-day is on Wednesday.

And i realized it's the first time I won't be with my mom for her bday,
but I talked to her so it's okay. and i suppose she had 19 without me. so she'll be okay.
I don't feel as homesick now mainly cuz I talked to my family yesterday.
And plus I have a week of teaching to look forward to, so I think I'm good.

---------------------------------------------------------
Other randoms.

So I had the house to myself, and there's a piano in the house, which means I started playing it.
And along with some sheet music I got from somewhere online, I started to play the first part of "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers

Love this song.
Goal: By the end of the summer, be able to play the whole thing? Maybe. Idk.

----------------------------------------
I also watched a couple of movies.

I finally saw Wanted.

Let's just say I loved this movie. A lot of the scenarios and actiony-thingys that happened where SO unbelievable, like when that car landed on top of the train and then kept going. CRAZY! And pretty much how all the characters survived all those dangerous situations.
I really enjoyed this movie though. It was funny and had tons of actions and good 'ol killin'. Very graphic though. I can mark being a secret spy assassin off my list of career choices, definitely not doing that after seeing this movie, I might end up killing my father. whoops!

I also saw Not Easily Broken.
Movie-not_easily_broken.jpg (500×748)
It was pretty good movie. Kinda got too emotional towards the end , like to much crying. But a very dramatic movie, You can definitely tell it's based off a book. In the end though its a movie about marriage, which doesn't apply to me at this point, but a very good Black movie in my opinion.

---------------------------
Tyler Perry
Not easily broken kinda reminds me a Tyler Perry movie (doesn't every black movie some where involving church make you think of that. Can you say Monopoly anyone?)

Anywayz that reminded me of the Boondocks episode, 'Pause', where they make fun Tyler Perry, portraying him as a person who uses God to have sex with men. And apparently at least some aspect of that is true, because on the rumor circuit mill (See rhymeswithsnitches), Tyler Perry has gotten the episode to stop being shown...yeah. But you should definitely see the episode, if you haven't.

That tis all

3. It's so Cold in the D (cover)- Durand Bernarr

this dude is good!. I was thinking about doing a cover of this song (as a joke), might still do it idk. but found this in my survey of covers of the song, and this boy kilt it with all dem runs......amazing..

4. Blooper/Outtakes from Dreamgirls

not really Bloopers, don't know why the title says that. but it basically a re-do of the song It's All Over (my FAV)...but it quite hilarious......

5. Hilarious Awesome Dance

how good the dancing was in the video was so unexpected I had to post it here. but um what are powder puff cheerleaders?....

6. Anita Baker

has nothing do with Anita Baker. But it's like a sneak peek of Boondock's new episodes. Apparently this will be the final season. (SADNESS, but what can ya do? they forever cancelling my fav shows.......btw... raising the bar cancelled. SADNESS AGAIN...yet I digress)

Things that made me say..

WTF?!

1. MY DREAM
so i had this dream involving Tom Hanks
http://www.insidesocal.com/outinhollywood/,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks.jpg (why?! I don't know). anywayz Tom Hanks was secretly a woman and he(she) had a sex change to become Tom Hanks. Can't remember exactly what his (her) name was before the sex change....some how they came up with the name Tom Hanks ( i think it had something to do with country-ness like Tom is a country name idk). AND i was the only person who knew that Tom Hankswas born a woman...idk weird...

anywayz i wake up at like 10:15, turn to channel 7 to see what they are talking about on the view ( yes, I watch the View, i think it's because of Whoopi...i love Whoopi!) ..and Tom Hanks was on the show (it was like a re-run cuz he was promoting hismovie Angels and Demons). so I decided to watch it cuz i figured it had something to do with my dream. wasn't to sure what the connection was..it was funny cuz i was staring at Tom Hanks the whole time to see if I could see some feminine charateristics (inconclusive)....but there was this part on the show..where they were talking about Tom Hanks and this other guy on this one show where they were dressed up as women. here's a picture, don't think this was the exact image in my dream.
http://cache.jalopnik.com/assets/resources/2008/04/Wes_On_The_Left_Ray_On_Right.jpg....idk....so my question is Does this make me psychic?

2. BET AWARDS
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6a4bCsf86YAYAAVFvXl2KdhuT0KatdKAmVCjwYNutHLoP_vbnFsUMf-AhQqRYcnMEV4HqiidKuJyOSNI6yUyQJTpWv8B1pzkkb_DLCEnSBUQ_LqwHz99m2Lpn7M7vPuicDYIhZCHrJTo/s400/bet_awards%5B1%5D.jpg (still haven't got why there's a star there...someone explain)
was on last night for a ridicuolus amount of time (almsot four hours, damn awards shows). I wanted to watch it to see some of the tribute to Michael Jackson..some things could have been soo much better about the show...if they had more days of course......all i have to say is Don Cornelius (dude is old) should follow his own advice AND never be on television again....i literally turned the channel...it was nice to see the O'Jays perform though....that was kool...
i just have to say everytime I see Debra Lee (the head woman in charge of BET(whaa???)) think of the boondocks, depiction of her and BET
http://adage.com/images/bin/image/6-Boondocks1-020408.jpg so funny...hahaha...

3.Bernie Madoff...
http://us.altermedia.info/images/bernie_madoff2.jpg
so don't really now who this dud
e is...but apparently dude was sentenced to 150 years in prison for investment fraud (DAMN!!!). so dude is not gonna live that long...the judge was just making a point or something like that...i think his attorney(s) was trying for 12 years...like think about it.. 150 vs. 12....damn! i think though that he made some people like really really poor or something...i don't feel like reading about it...but i just heard about it on the news...crazy though to be sentence to 150 years for anything besides murder.....what's even more sadder-wer was that dude saw the victims and said sorry ( i guess after the fact)

...yeha WTF?!!
idk....
holla at cha boi!

MY CURRENT OBESSION:

............The Boondocks....................
(love it!)

if you don't know about you should cuz i feel like i was the last person to find out
about this....its an amazing show with black characters, and defintely black language
just love it, so realistic, characters are really real (hahaha)....story lines are great....i feel like every show has a message that relates to the current issues facing the black community whether making fun of something or not....but its really good.

Voices
Regina King (227, recently in This christmas)

provides voices for Riley brothers, Huey and Riley.
can i just say she's amazing never knew she could be so funny.....love her....

The guy that played Pops from the Wayans Bros and Ice Cube's dad from Friday, his name is John Witherspoon plays the Grandaddy adds the generational element to the show, great.

AND they always have guest voices from all types of black celebrities, its pretty cool to recognize the voices.
anyways here's a clip where Huey describes a Nigga Moment (haha):

you should watch just because i made a whole post about so it must be important(and it is)...hahaha
