oh some random again. I been playing Zelda 
(for Nintendo 64....yeah old school) for like the past couple weeks at my friend's Apartment.

It's been really fun. The game came out like 11 years ago, but this is not a game I would want to play as a 9 or 10 year old. For one, it would have taken me forever to figure out what to do. And I would probably had crapped my pants a billijion times. Cuz playing it now I'm like the most scared-est (???) person ever. It's actually really funny though. And I still can't figure out what to do so we just usually go online and read the walkthrough. Idk why I felt like updating about that...cuz it's uber-random.but whatevs..

um yeha let's end it there....

This was just generally weird, I though maybe he was crying cause of song he was singing...nope...um crying cuz he couldn't perform or something its just really weird. To me, if you're gonna cry, can you cry offstage? cuz that was just awkward.

I did find a video of it (YEHA!). the Spiritual Medley by Sounds of Blackness. not the original group butthey did a pretty good job. I just felt like this song would be really hard to perform live, probably cuz I have exactly gotten the medley/notes down yet. so it was kool to see someone perform it...

The Wiz- the Movie

okay, so I bought this movie on DVD, aftre hesitating whether or not i should buy it. and I watched it lasted night, and I was like this movie was/is Amazing!

my favorite character, the one I would mostly likely like (??) to portray in stage production, would be the Lion, played by Ted Ross, this character is funny, and Ross is amazing! Tidbit: He was actually the lion in the original Broadway production, probably why he does such a great job. He doesn't really look like himself with all the make up & costume on (photographic evidence below).

Also he also sings one of my fav musical songs I'm a Mean Ole Lion (the background is amazing, the trumpets, the whole arrangement, amazes me everytime, AND the snarling of the Lion, like whaaa)

my second favorite one would be the Scarecrow, beautifully portrayed by the late Michael Jackson. and watching this movie last night I was like "MJ did a great job!" like i never really notice before, but everything he did was very sincere, like u really get the feeling he's this scarecrow. oh & love his quote at the end of the film.

Success, fame, and fortune, they're all illusions. All there is that is real is the friendship that two can share.

This makes me kinda upset he didn't do more movies, but hey. this one is great.

I know I'm getting very analytical of this movie (which is a secret passion of mine, not so much a secret anymore), but I really discovered that this movie has a deeper message about Freedom.

if you look at it, the Scarecrow was stuck up on the pole , the Tin Man was stuck under Tiny, and the Lion was stuck in the Lion stature thing. For various reasons they were stuck and weren't free until Dorothy came along, who ironically was stuck in this land called Oz. The Scarecrow was stuck on the pole because he was listening to people (the crows) telling him he could never get down, the Tin Man stuck under tiny, his past lover or whatnot, she was bringing him down, and the Lion stuck by his past of not showing courage or what not.

AND after they kill Evillene,they, along with all the workers, sing A Brand New Day, which to me is the time in which everyone receives their freedom. Freedom from those things that held them down/back. Then, coming to only find out that this "Wiz" which they looked to get their freedom from, was also stuck, behind his dishonesty, and his own past of not being able to get elected to office. But after Dorothy helps everyone realize their freedom, she is able to be free, and return home.

Overall, I think maybe the people who wrote this was just saying to people ( i think more so black people) is to get Free, stop letting people hold you back, and those things you don't think you got, look within yourself it's there, you just have these obstacles holding you back and you can't see that you possess what you desire. ( this is HEAVY!!!!)

I'm just really glad I bought this DVD, now I can watch it anywhere, pretty kool.
btw this movie is def a Black-tackular one.

Jackson Memorial Service

Before I get to that I would like to say this is MY 100th post! (can you believe I wrote 100 of these thingys... gosh....)

I'm sure you all know about this it's been all over the news....
my opinion: I loved it! I thought it was a great thing to do. I don't think it was too much (he's MJ), it might've been a tad bit too long though (but that's like any black person's funeral).

I loved just about everything but are some of my uber favs:

Jennifer Hudson (wit hu' pregnant self...sidenote: why do celeb women lie about having a baby, like that's nothing you can't hide...like your gonna get caught...J-Hud did it and Lauren London did it (yes the girl from This Christmas, ATL) She's also pregnant, rumor has it's lil' wayne's baby but that a whole 'nother post that never actually get posted.....)

His daughter, Paris...omg! Feel so sad for her and her brother. I just hope they'll be okay, I'm sure they will.

Jermaine almost made me cry as well, I had no idea how he was singing that song.....Cuz I couldn't do it if my brother was dead ( i would probably say "i ain't got time to sing no damn song, my brother's dead, shit I'm mourning!" hahaha)

All Jokes Aside, though really enjoyed the memorial service, glad everyone (the world) got to witness that.

Finally, I hope that they will leave MJ alone, like seriously, I'm really tired of hearing about. Now after they find out the results of the autopsy or whate'er, please stop talking about it him. Damn! Ya'll gave the man hell why he was alive, let him rest! that all I gotta say though. Like.. I don't mind being updated about the situation, cuz I wanna why stuff happened and exactly what happened. But that shouldn't be your main focus, there's worse shit going on in America, right now....okay!! whew! that felt like a rant...sorry I just got so emotional.....

Updations!!

The Williams Sisters,

are once again dominating the tennis world at Wimbledon. Now I don't watch much sports, but for some reason I can watch tennis. weird, cuz I have def have no inkling to play it (that stuff look tiring).

Today was the women's semi-finals: consisted of two games, each with a Williams sister. Serena struggled to win hers, but I it looked like a good, drama-filled game. Venus though easily won hers(against the No.1 person whatever her name was), I was so suprised I was like dang! (that's how suprised I was). Apparently Serena's match took like 3 hours to finish ( one reason why I won't be playing tennis, games too damn long...). But they both won in the semi-finals, and once again they get to play against each other.

Venus has won Wimbeldon the last two years I believe. So that's who I'm thinking is gonna win. But you never know with though Williams Sisters.
I believe the game comes on Saturday...yes Independence Day! ( which was when I realized Great Britain doesn't celebrate the Fourth) the little voice in the back of my heads says: "duh, Idoit! Great Britain wouldn't celebrate the American Independence Day because it's a celebration of America's Independce from Great Britain. That's like saying.....gosh I can't come up with a good analogy....but you get it!"


Also I'm so tired of seeing Michael Jackson's name in the media. The guy has been dead for a week, let him rest. Cause nobody really cares anymore about his death(and by nobody I means Me). Just have the funeral, so people can move on with their lives. It's so annoying!. I kinda wanna make a youtube video about it similiar to the Leave Britney Alone! one. I can just see it now: LEAVE MICHAEL ALONE!!!

(kinda looks like he's saying in the middle of saying 'Alone' as in 'LEAVE ME ALONE!', which would go really nice with my post, but of course we all know he's just screaming...hahaha)

......anywayz....hopefully by next thursday we won't be having this same problem. This crap is ridiculous and blemtious!

I have about 2 months left of summer about.......and I have accomplished nothing. This is about the point in summer where I am so tired of seeing these same people. I guess you could say I miss NU! (my alma mater...."Hail to Alma Mater........) By these same people I mean my family..and by family I mean my immediate family, which makes me wish I was doing something more.....more...what's the word?....idk....just MORE....hahahaha

Things that made me say..

WTF?!

1. MY DREAM
so i had this dream involving Tom Hanks
(why?! I don't know). anywayz Tom Hanks was secretly a woman and he(she) had a sex change to become Tom Hanks. Can't remember exactly what his (her) name was before the sex change....some how they came up with the name Tom Hanks ( i think it had something to do with country-ness like Tom is a country name idk). AND i was the only person who knew that Tom Hankswas born a woman...idk weird...

anywayz i wake up at like 10:15, turn to channel 7 to see what they are talking about on the view ( yes, I watch the View, i think it's because of Whoopi...i love Whoopi!) ..and Tom Hanks was on the show (it was like a re-run cuz he was promoting hismovie Angels and Demons). so I decided to watch it cuz i figured it had something to do with my dream. wasn't to sure what the connection was..it was funny cuz i was staring at Tom Hanks the whole time to see if I could see some feminine charateristics (inconclusive)....but there was this part on the show..where they were talking about Tom Hanks and this other guy on this one show where they were dressed up as women. here's a picture, don't think this was the exact image in my dream.
....idk....so my question is Does this make me psychic?

2. BET AWARDS

was on last night for a ridicuolus amount of time (almsot four hours, damn awards shows). I wanted to watch it to see some of the tribute to Michael Jackson..some things could have been soo much better about the show...if they had more days of course......all i have to say is Don Cornelius (dude is old) should follow his own advice AND never be on television again....i literally turned the channel...it was nice to see the O'Jays perform though....that was kool...
i just have to say everytime I see Debra Lee (the head woman in charge of BET(whaa???)) think of the boondocks, depiction of her and BET so funny...hahaha...


3.Bernie Madoff...

so don't really now who this dude is...but apparently dude was sentenced to 150 years in prison for investment fraud (DAMN!!!). so dude is not gonna live that long...the judge was just making a point or something like that...i think his attorney(s) was trying for 12 years...like think about it.. 150 vs. 12....damn! i think though that he made some people like really really poor or something...i don't feel like reading about it...but i just heard about it on the news...crazy though to be sentence to 150 years for anything besides murder.....what's even more sadder-wer was that dude saw the victims and said sorry ( i guess after the fact)
