on break..

...it has been kinda awesome...at least for me
im actually a pretty lazy person so...actually being able to be lazy
is kinda awesome-ness (yes awesome-ness....look it up....)


so today i was totally watching Tom & Jerry

(see what college does...stops me from enjoying cartoons...craziness....)


i could watch T&J (yes i have abbreviated it...) for about 2 days straight..it's amazingly entertaining....

• there's like no talkin at all...cept for random screams & stuff...well other characters talk just not tom & jerry...and i'm just amazed how that is...i dont know why...though..
• it's about a cat chasing a mouse (or a mouse chasing a cat) also random run-ins (with the law) with dogs, and duck and a bird...i mean who can get more natural than that...
• also funny...i think anytime you involve animals who dont talk but walk on two legs, and a mouse who can throw, and carry rather large objects, at a cat...kinda amazing.
• the background music like goes along with the story, i think that like my favorite part maybe.... i dont know..

anyways, watch this clip...

i do feel sorry for tom sometimes...jerry's so mean...

its just an amazing show..should be back on tv...like really...nothing like that anymore (i didnt even know they showed it on tv anymore)

so i thank god for break without it, i wouldnt be able to see Tom & Jerry (T&J)...

can i say this movie was kinda awesome, suprised to find out it was actually based on real life or i think it says "inspired" whatevs... this movie made me laugh, like all throughout, and cry at one point ( and i mean like watery eyes and a tear). amazing movie...

starring Don Cheadle, Tariji P. Henson, one black guy whose like british (whaa?, totally unexpected) Chiwetel Ejiofor (don't know how to say that), and others... just pretty amazing cast. Cheadle is pretty awesome...like really...look out for him...

you should defintely see this....like really...

the family that preys

i think officially it's tyler perry's the family that preys ( really you have to put your name on everything , tyler, really?) anyways i watched this movie the next day after watching Talk to Me, two great movies back to back. i really loved this movie tho. One word: DRAMATIC. But i love it nevertheless...

starring.. Alfre Woodard (omg!), Sanaa Lathan (great actress), Tariji P. Henson (again, she be's gettin that money), Kathy Bates, Rockmond Dunbar, Robin Gives, and plenty others....really great ensemble cast...you need to see this if you haven't...trust me..

Home.....

When I think of home I think of a place where there's love overflowing....
I'm finally...home...where I belong..

for some reason just the thought of home is exciting...
being in a place of familiarity is just great..no feeling like it...
although nothing of great interest will happen on break (so i assume)
it's nice to be with family...

instead of that crazy northwestern...
where crazy stuff is always happening...
and my freaking life feels like a blur (???)

Other Ramblings....

Sweeney Todd (the movie)

uber disappointing ( uber? yes uber...)... maybe me seeing the
actual musical first wasn't such a good thing...totally ruined any chance of me
liking this movie....
Here's my problems with Sweeney Todd:
1. Singing= bad....i don't know.......i feel like when something is a musical....you shouldn't have
people who just learned how to sing yesterday....jus bad...

2. the murder scenes = gore, way too much over the top , almost to the point of comedy

3. finally, there's like NO opening song nor ending song...........boo!!

anyways i think you should see it anyway.....if you want...
or you good just go on imeem and check out the songs...idk...
